Project Choices
The following are some project options that you can do to go along
with the study of the Aztecs. Your teacher may assign these to you or
you may have an opportunity to earn some extra credit.
Diorama/Model
For this choice, you are asked to construct a diorama of an
Aztec village. Your diorama/model could be that of a house,
temple, or other part of the village. Your diorama should
represent a certain aspect of the Aztecs and how they lived.
Be ready to explain your diorama to the rest of the class.
Religious Ceremonies
For this option, you are to research the types of religious ceremonies
that the Aztecs conducted. Your report should be at least a page long
and include a picture.
Floating Garden
For this choice, you are asked to create your own
version of a chinampa. Your chinampa should be
detailed and represent the crops that the Aztecs grew.
Timeline
Your job here is to make a timeline of at least ten important events that
happened during the Aztec period. Be sure to label each event with a
date and description and include at least five pictures to go along with
the events.
Map of Tenochtitlan
For this choice, you are asked to design a detailed map of the city of
Tenochtitlan. In your map, include causeways, island gardens, temples,
buildings, etc.
