What is Aerobic Exercise?
 Aerobic exercise is any type of activity that uses large
group of muscles and you can maintain continuously.
 It is a type of exercising that gives the heart and lungs
a challenge and makes them work hard.
 Find a continuous activity that keeps the heart rate up
and move towards a healthier lifestyle.


Aerobic Activities
Aerobic vs. Anaerobic
 Anaerobic exercise is an intense physical activity using
energy production.
 The exercises are usually short.
 For example lifting weights or even running a 100
meter dash are considered to be anaerobic.

Why is Aerobic Exercise Important?
 Increases endurance, flexibility and builds muscle
strength.
 Make bones and cardiovascular system stronger.
 Lowers high blood pressure, cholesterol.
 The more aerobic exercise the less fatigued your body
gets.

Running 20 minutes
Cycling 5 miles
Swimming 1000 meters
