Attendance and Assignment submission policy:
All work must be turned in the day it is due in order to receive full credit. If you are
absent, it needs to be turned in the day you return. Work received after class is also
considered late and only worth ½ credit. You have as many days as you are absent (full
days) to turn in missed work before it is late (see student handbook). Late work turns into an
automatic 50%. No late/ missed work will be accepted after 1 week. All missed test must be
made up the next day. NO EXCUSES!!! When missing days/class for school related field trips,
vacations, medical appointments, etc., YOU are responsible for gathering assignments and
working out a make-up schedule with me PRIOR TO DEPARTURE FROM SCHOOL. Any work
due the day you leave school MUST BE TURNED IN PRIOR TO DEPARTURE! Failure to take
proper responsibility may result in receiving no credit for missed work or work turned in after
the due date.
Extra Credit:
Extra credit is offered very rarely in this class. However, there are occasionally some
opportunities. Extra credit must be turned in the class period it is due in order to receive
points. If you are absent from class the day extra credit is assigned or the day it is due, you
forfeit your opportunity. It is very important to come to school and not miss class.
Attendance can greatly affect your grade.
Edustar:
Edustar will be used to keep track of grades, attendance, due dates, and
assignments. I highly recommend that you access Edustar on a daily basis to check any
assignments that are incomplete.
There are a million ways to lose a work day, but not a single way to get one back
