Create Your Own Rebellion: Part One and Two
Just as it did for Old Major, the moment has come
for your own rebellion. Look into your heart as he did
on those long nights in his stall. Decide what it is you
would like to see change in your immediate life and
reasons you would like to see it change, just as he did.
Take some notes here about those hopes and reflections:
Now, like the animals in Animal Farm, you will decide on a cause you can get behind. Take some time to decide on one. Whether it is
environmental, political or personal, you need to choose a specific cause that would require a change in actions or principles.
Which cause do you like the best and why?
Once you have decided on a cause, you can now create those items necessary to gain followers:
1. A strong, persuasive speech (Due January 29th)
a. As we have learned, the best speech will always include Ethos, Pathos and Logos—you will need to use the advice of Aristotle for
this one!
2. A poster that can represent your hopes for the cause (Due February 5th)
a. I would like to see you use one form of propaganda on your poster to showcase what you have learned!
