Scientific method. Origin of the living organisms. Heterotrophes and
ototrophes. Procayotes and eucaryotes. Properties of living organisms.
Biological molecules: Carbohydrates, lipids, proteins, nucleic acids and
vitamins.
Shape and size of the cells.

Structural organisation of the cell ( cell structure, cell membrane, cell
wall,cytoplasm, endoplasmic reticulum, golgi, lisosome, mitochondria, plastid,
ribosome, centriol, nucleus, chromosomes, cell division – mitosis and miosisErgastis substances.
Plant tissues: meristems, epidermis, xylem, phloem, secretory system,
periderm, collenchyma and sclerenchyma.
Cell metabolism (anabolic and catabolic reactions), enzymes, cell respiration,
photosynthesis.
