Cost of installation of biogas plant (as of year 2007): For electricity generation it is
rarely used in our country. However, for cooking purposes the installation cost for a
family size biogas plant having 5 cubic meters digester volume ranges from Tk. 15,000 to
Tk. 20,000. It excludes the cost of 5 or 6 cows required for getting cow-dung to operate a
family size plant.
Approximate time for installing a biogas plant: 1 month.
