Thursday –Mandarin Orange Chicken/Rice, Broccoli, Tossed Salad, Choice of Fruit and Milk
Friday –Personal Round Pizza, Sweet Peas, Baby Carrots, Choice of Fruit and Milk
Monday –Mini Corn Dogs, Potato Wedges, Tossed Salad, Choice of Fruit and Milk
Tuesday –Super Nachos, Lettuce/Tomatoes, Pintos/Cheese, Choice of Fruit and Milk
STUDENTS:
5th Grade Students: Today is an Orange Rotation Day.
Today's Achiever is BULK. He represents trustworthiness. He is honest, reliable and loyal. The fall sale will
end next week. Continue to sell so we can do great things for Eastwood Middle School.
Eastwood High School Band: The band is hosting “Majorette for a Night” for 8thgraders on October 16th at
the Eastwood vs. Lake Game. Practice time is on Thursday, October 15th from 2:30-4pm. Additional
information and sign up are located in the Middle School Office. The deadline to sign up is October 9th.
**Any 8th grader interested in performing next year in the high school band as a member of the color guard
should come to the Middle School cafeteria on Friday, October 9 during AA. Come learn about what color
guard does, and do some hands on activities to feel what it is like to spin a flag. There will be experienced
high school marchers to answer questions. Come hear about the fun that can be had when you are part of the
Eagle Marching Band Color Guard! If you cannot attend the meeting please contact Mr. Myers.
Prudential Spirit of Community Award: Apply for a 2016 Prudential Spirit of Community Award and you
could win $1,000 and a trip to Washington, D.C., next May! Go to http://spirit.prudential.com or

Band news: The band is selling Eastwood Eagle decals for $1.50 each. The decals support a variety of sports
and also include parents and grandparents. Come to the office to purchase your decals.
ATHLETICS
Pink Out: October is Beat Cancer awareness month and we would like to dedicate our Volleyball game
today against Woodmore to that cause. Everyone, wear pink! Pink is the color that represents breast cancer.
Girls Basketball: Any 7/8th grade girl interested in trying out for basketball, please sign up in the office.
You must have a physical on file before trying out. Physical forms can be picked up in the office.
