Lead Technical Analyst on a project to install Engica Q4 Power software to Cottam and West Burton Power Stations. Software installation,
maintenance, troubleshooting and configuration. Technical advisor to project manager. Liaison with DBAs, PC & Server Support teams and
Engica tech support. Responsible for system documentation such as Product Installation Guide, Installation Verification Procedures, Support
Documentation. Handover to production support. Support of system test, UAT and Live environments during Storm period. Calls logged on
Vantive Peoplesoft CRM. Subsequently, assigned to various projects including enterprise-wide clock-change, APX Power & Gas trading

Morse (4/06 – 6/06) 3 months initial, however project finished a month early.
SOX Technical Analyst for Morse’s client, Vodafone in Newbury. Part of a team responsible for generating a remediation plan for SarbanesOxley (SOX) compliance of financial IT systems for controls 9022 (Secure Configuration) & 9030 (Security Patching). Data collection,
verification, client liaison, Excel spreadsheet programming & macros, data presentation, data cleansing & integrity checking.
West Sussex County Council (9/04 – 4/06) 3 months initial, multiple extensions totalling a year and a half. Ended due to funding cutbacks.
Systems Administrator. Administrated & supported huge network with 6,200 users across over a hundred sites spread around West Sussex
with 131 servers and 31 domain controllers (and 5 domains) running Windows NT, 2000, 2003. Responsible for general system admin and third
line support, with project work including website hardening based on NTA security reports, Arcserve 2000 backup rationalisation, print queue
rollout, user ID changes for SAP, filesystem structure & security standards rollout, facility inventorization, Enterprise Mcafee virus scan admin,
CISCO ACS system admin. Support calls monitored in Touchpaper 6.7, administration done using Hyena 5.7, server remote admin done using
Telereach and Dameware.
Capgemini (7/03 – 9/04) 10 weeks initial, multiple extensions totalling over a year. Ended due to funding cutbacks.
Server Projects Team Leader. Served on customer site at Eli Lilly & Company based in Basingstoke, Hants. Responsible for a team of 3
Windows 2000 / NT4 server engineers. Managed the CGEY contract with Lilly to build a number of Windows 2000 servers to deliver new
Production and QA Siebel 7.5 CRM systems. Liaising with the CRM Project manager to provide build and consultancy services. Involved in the
technical work, including builds and design such as Microsoft Windows Load Balanced Server Farms etc. Documentation had to comply with
FDA regulations. Wrote High Availability redundant system test specifications for the CRM system, and ran those tests and documented them.
During the contract extension, the team provided general Windows Server project services, mainly system builds and rebuilds. I was chosen to
run several large projects including Capacity Planning for 500 servers (UNIX and Windows), a "SWAT" team to analyse and fix an obscure and
ongoing Windows Replication issue, and to design and write the test specification for CRM Performance testing. The Capacity Planning project
involved managing a cross-functional team of five UNIX and Windows experts, and collating the history data from disparate systems. From
February 2004 I was engaged in a project to roll out HP Openview Operations agent to around 150 Windows NT/2000 and UNIX (HP-UX and
Solaris) servers worldwide, in liaison with Enterprise Systems Management staff in the USA and Belgium.
Network Rail (formerly Railtrack) – Information Management Division (4/02 – 3/03) 10 weeks initial, multiple extensions totalling 1 year.
Ended when project completed.
Technical Architect for the National Video Survey project. Responsible for the low-level design and implementation of an £8.5 Million video
database on Oracle 9i / Windows 2000 servers (Compaq Proliant DL580 G2) stored on a Compaq StorageWorks SAN (7TB) using IBM
Websphere (Proliant DL360) to serve images of UK rail network over UK-wide WAN to 300+ users, using Network Appliance NetCaches for
speed and bandwidth preservation. Built three such systems (two production mirrors in London and Birmingham, one for development in York)
and fully documented the build and associated procedures for handover to Unisys support staff.
Reuters International – Consulting Division (Software Development), formerly Tibco Finance Technology (9/99 – 3/02) 3 Month initial,
multiple extensions totalling 2½ years. Ended due to funding cutbacks.
Systems Administrator for a team of Tibco software developers. Solely responsible for implementation and support of the Tibco development
environment, consisting of Windows NT4 & 2000, Domain operations, EMEA Frame Relay/ISDN WAN design, and a network consisting of
