Trousdale County Schools Focused Lesson Plan 2016-17 Teacher: Hatfield Unit Name: China, 400A.D./C.E.-1500s Unit #:2 Unit Length: 2 Weeks Week: 4 Week 8-22-16 to 8-26-16 Subject: World History Tennessee State Standard(s) to be taught: (Write the entire standard) 7.19 Create a visual or multimedia display to identify the physical location and major geographical features of China including the Yangtze River, Yellow River, Himalayas, Plateau of Tibet, and the Gobi Desert. 7.20 Describe the reunification of China under the Tang Dynasty and the reasons for cultural diffusion of Buddhism. 7.21 Analyze the role of kinship and Confucianism in maintaining order and hierarchy. I Can Statements : I can create a visual display to identify the physical location and major geographical features of China including the Yangtze River, Yellow River, Himalayas, Plateau of Tibet, and the Gobi Desert. I can describe the reunification of China under the Tang Dynasty. I can describe the reasons for cultural diffusion of Buddhism in China. Accommodations for students, both regular and special populations : I will make hard copies of all texts for students who need them.
