Honors Geometry/Geometry – 2Q Graphing Project – 50 points
Objective: Students will be able to understand different types of lines, transversals, triangles, and
other shapes in mathematics. Illustrate and label them in a creative and colorful way that will help you
truly learn and remember the concepts.
Materials needed: Poster board/graph paper, markers/crayons/colored pencils, and ruler/yardstick
Due:
Project Directions:
The project will be done on gridded poster board or graph paper. The students should choose an image
to draw on the grid using the shapes in the rubric. The students are encouraged to be creative in
selecting an image. Whiteout cannot be used and the project should not be missing any corners.
The project will contain the following:
 An image drawn on the grid
 Attach the work to the back of the project.
 Label on the shapes
 Decorate your picture with some color and creativity.
 Label the X & Y axis clearly in the center of the paper/poster board
 Name, date, and period on the front in the lower right hand corner.
Your project will be graded on mathematical accuracy, originality, appearance and effort shown.
Points will be deducted for not staying within the theme or being turned in late. Project grades will be
deducted 5 points for each class period it is late. This is a significant portion of your grade so do a
good job and have some fun!!!
