The sun gives us energy. It gives us light energy and heat energy.
The sun’s light shining on an object makes the object warmer.
Sunlight can change the temperature of air, water, and land.
The sun is in the east in the morning. It is high in the sky at 12:00 noon. In the
late afternoon and evening, the sun is in the west.
 The sun is really a star. It looks different from other stars because it is much
closer to Earth than the other stars.
 Our sun is made of hot, burning gases.
 The sun is 93 million miles away from Earth.
