Web Based Astronomy For Students The Canadian Space Agency has
developed a 7 module web site that uses Flash applet technology to develop an
astronomy based curriculum for Grade 9 Science. Topics covered include; the
Sun, Earth and Moon, Planets, Comets and Asteroids, Milky Way, Night Sky and
Astronomer's Tools. Teacher's lesson plans are downloadable.
Windows To The Universe Windows to the Universe is a user-friendly learning
system on the Earth and Space sciences for the use of the general public. The
purpose of this site is to develop a fun and different Web site about the Earth and
Space sciences. There are three levels of reading difficulty making the site
appropriate for elementary, junior high and high school.

Myths About The Sun
The Electric Astrolabe The Electric Astrolabe is a fully animated planetarium
program in the form of a planispheric astrolabe. It can be downloaded as a zip
file.
Stronger Eyes and Better Numbers
Internetconnect Topic 2
Telescope Technologies Powerful telescopes have allowed us to explore
space and discover clues to the origins of the Universe. In this activity you will
learn about three types of telescopes that are capable of probing vast distances
and collecting information about the composition and characteristics of bodies in
space.
How Telescopes Work
The Spectroscope: New Meanings in Light
Internetconnect Topic 3
Spectral Analysis of Stars This resource provides students with an introduction
to the history of spectral analysis and the difference between continuous (full
spectrum) and absorption (dark line) spectra. They learn about electromagnetic
radiation and the Doppler effect.
