Activities that do not represent your best work will not receive full credit. All work is due by Friday at 8:10. Have a great idea? See Mr. Yates or Mr. Preddie to find out a point value for it! Please indicate on your homework the activities you choose by writing the number of the activity before you begin. *** Any partially complete activities will receive 0 points. 5-Point Activities 1) Write your spelling words in ABC order. 2) Write your spelling words in crayon or colored pencil. 3) Write each consonant letter in red and each vowel in blue. 4) Write each spelling word in print, then write them in cursive. 5) Write your spelling words on the computers and print them off. 6) Write each spelling word and then write what part of speech it is (noun, verb, adjective, etc.) 7) Write each spelling word, and then scramble the letters. For example, if the word is Indiana the scrambled version could be nidinaa. 10-Point Activities 8) Write each spelling word five times. 9) Write each word in a rainbow of colors. You may use any three colors. First, write the words with one color crayon or colored pencil. Trace over the words with a second color. Finally, trace the words again with a third color. 10) Write each spelling word. Next to each word, write two additional words of at least four letters that can be spelled using the letters in the word. 11) Spell out your spelling words using alphabet rubber stamps and an inkpad. 12) Write your words with the hand you usually do not write with. (For example, if you are right-handed, write your words with your left hand). 13) Write each word, then write it in numbers. Find each letter on a telephone keypad and write the corresponding number for each letter. 14) Write each spelling word, then draw an illustration that will help you remember it. 15) Write each spelling word, then write a definition or synonym for each word. 16) Write each spelling word, then write the Spanish word for it. 17) Write each spelling word in pyramid form. For example, if the word is four do the following: F Fo Fou four 15-Point Activities 18) Use each spelling word in a sentence. Correct spelling and grammar count, and your sentences MUST make sense and be written in cursive! You can only use one word per sentence. 19) Practice pre-test with a parent. If it is not signed by a parent you will not receive credit. Any words that you miss you need to rewrite three times. 20) Write each spelling word, then spell them in Braille or Morse code.
