Vasis-Avende Announces Intentions to Run for UN Delegate ago Vasis-Avende Today, First Chancellor Launa DeVenlura, leader of The Federation of Vasis-Avende, announced to the press today that she will be running for UN Delegate of Africa. "My nation has been heavily involved in internal affairs that took up much of my time, but I cannot stand by idly to watch Africa stumble in its rise as a region of note," said DeVenlura. When asked about Vasis-Avende's silence during recent times, the First Chancellor replied, "Naturally, while the region was under The Two Lands' care, I had no worries that there would be a potential misstep in the region's political and economical development." "When I realized who the current candidates were, as reluctant as I was to make this prominent position, I felt that I was obligated for the sake of Africa and all her good people to make a stand and protect our precious region." The First Chancellor was surprisingly blunt during her nomination speech. Whether her late entrance into the Delegate elections will make a notable difference at this point is truly the question on many people's minds. Asked what her plans were for this region, DeVenlura had only to say, "I will do what the nations' feel is best for Africa." A member of the African Union, The Federation of Vasis-Avende is also famed for its amazing array of local fruit that is renowned the world over. With a strong militaristic history, Vasis-Avende has grown from a tiny population of 5 million to what it is today, thanks, in large part to the firm reign of the DeVenlura family. [Inserted on the page are a slew of photographs of First Chancellor Launa DeVenlura, a rather attractive middle-aged woman, taken during many of her public outings on state duties. Vasis-Avende's Famous Fruit Baskets can be seen in one of the photos as DeVenlura offers it to a visiting dignitary.] 17 hours The Democratic Regarding Phazania's comment, we are horribly insulted. Yes, we've read the entire history ago Republic of Israel- of Africa. There is no point in insulting our intelligence. I don’t see how you can make that Palestine deduction, by our latest post. I myself wonder about your own intelligence, as you have not responded to my comment. I say Africa is corrupt, and you respond that I’m an idiot, that doesn’t know history, isn’t quite what I’d think of intelligence on your part. Once again Africa responds to my comments of improvement and debate, with the comments of my lack of intelligence, and lack of knowledge in African history. Every time you people say that, I have gone ahead and looked at the African history. I do believe I’m getting quite smart in that topic. African history may be important, but history in general is much more important. History, of Europe, the Americas, and Asia are just as important. Thus far you people have been so anti-western, I doubt your knowledge in those areas, as most people know many advancement in the west and the east, have led them to places that are quite advanced, and 6 ahead of Africa, in not, just military might, but in economics. This is another reason I don’t not like the AU, It is led by people like Phazania who insults and does not make intelligent comments herself. I had entered this UN Delegate race trying to improve Africa. Malawi gave a set of topics like in a real election. I came back and debated those like a “REAL” election. Everyone else came back and fired bullets of insults at me, and now think they can solve all their problems, by gunning down all my ideas, and thinking Africa will be fine. An Africa, with little tolerance is what you are, and you all follow people like Malawi, and Phazania, who insult, those, who speak up and debate their ideas. You people are not always right and nor am I, but you must learn to tolerate other ideas, and not just shoot them down without finding reason against it. Malawi has done a fair good job debating, but he has been keen on the insults. Yes I admit I’ve done my throwing of insults back and I’m sorry, that is what happens in the heat of a moment. Frankly, I still might leave the AU because I do not wish to be led by those people. As the German people have once said after WWII. “They got, the first group of people, and no one stood up. They got second group of people and no one stood up. Then a third, and a forth group, and then they came after me… I couldn’t stand up, because there was no one left to stand up.” I do not wish to see an Africa where no one stands up. We must make Africa more democratic, and not so racist. You all gun after people who are racist against Africans, but you don’t realize that many of you are racist against Europeans, and Americans. I was unsure, if I should stay in the race for this UN Delegate, but then I decided that some people needed a person to vote for if they really agreed with me. I’m quite sure I’m going to lose, and I’ve thought that since day one. I’m really a nation that nobody has really seen until now. During this race I’ve seen much of Africa’s true form. A group of nations that when they don’t agree, just insult, give the topic to the AU, and then go to war. Africa has its problems I want to fix them. I may not be the best, but I haven’t seen any great nations step up and say anything about anything. I’d personally say give the UN Delegate to Mr. Nairb Selarom, he is truly a great man. In any case, I’m going to tell Africa this, stand up for what you believe, and don’t push down what others believe in, as they can be just a right as you are. Miss Tatiana Metanova President, Israel-Palestine 12 hours The People's ago Republic of Bubonic Plague Free Peoples of Africa! The workers of the PRBP dance in unrestrained rapture at the news that Vasis-Avende has decided to enter the race for UN delegate. At last, Africa has a candidate worthy of her greatness. We urge all states to rise above the petty quarrels that have thus far marred the leadership race. Lend your support to a true head of state, the attractive Chancellor Launa DeVenlura. You deserve this, Africa demands it! Allow Africa to be blessed with the inspired statesmanship and flare of Vasis-Avende! These are the people who brought you “Fruit Basket Diplomacy”. The Benevolent General Skrog, Minister of External Affairs. 7 hours ago The Democratic Republic of Unified Bubonic Plague, your comments bring shame to your name. Voting for Fruit Baskets is about as dumb as voting for "pretty coins". Don't insult Africans by making them vote for what they thing is pretty. Bring about improvement, rather than trying to shape Africa with 7 Deutschland "material" objects. To what a real leader does and shape the world through your words, and not your fruit. No offense to Vasis-Avende, as sending fruit baskets are a good way to help diplomatic ties, and not a bad idea. Just as Bubonic Plague trys to get it to win an election is wrong, and shows Africa no real reason why they should vote for you. I've come to realize Africa's UN nations aren't in large number. The UN Delegate is not a good race to begin with, as each number votes for every nation, not withdrawling their old vote for a different one, making a huge tie in the end. Each UN member should one submit one vote. 7 hours ago 6 hours ago The Democratic Republic of Unified Deutschland OMG! That was littered with typos, sorry! All, of course, accompanied with reports of DeVenluran campaign promises of bringing about a stronger Africa in terms of fostering international ties, as well as developing internation diplomatic bonds...what you'd expect in most UN Delegate candidacy speeches. Included in some of the articles (but not all) are DeVenlura's untargeted criticisms about the other candidates running for the position. Also, accompanying some articles are very long and boring statistical data and analysis about Vasis-Avende and its opponents as well as the African economy and political stage...that no one but those with a most avid (dare we say, fanatical) interest in politics and economy can possibly understand the significance of its printing. It should be noted that the data coincidentally puts the other candidates in a weaker 8 statistical light. ---------------------------------------(replaced: Bubonic's Plague's post) Free Peoples of Africa! We ago have never called idiot to noone, and the word we used was irresponsible. We think that the meaning of the two words is a bit different won't you agree? To mislead starts this way. If we said that she had called us old because she said that we lived in the past it would be the same. Confucious once said 'Study the past if you would define the future.'. We agree with him. Again PLEASE DO NOT DISTORT our words. We feel that the proposal of roads connecting all african countries is good but also demagogic. It is like promising free health care to all africans ! If many african countries don't have even decent roads inside their countries how can you promise something like that... We never meant any insult to any african and in particular to Israel-Palestine. If we did or do in the future, please accept our humblest apologies as of now. Phazania greets Vasis Avende on his candidacy. Both Upper Volta and Malawi as well as Vasis Avende would give good delegates. Although we publicly support Upper Volta we have friendly relations with the others. Our trip to UF has been quite profitable. We are proposing a trade and research agreement to UF to improve both the economy and education of our two great nations. Mr. Nairb Selanom has achieved much on his visit to the UN and his efforts will hopefully give a new boost to Africa. Queen Noor PROPOSAL from FRANCE: Currently, we have two seperate organizations. The African Union, and the European Community Association. Europe proposes that the two organizations join. The main and final organization be the 9 African Union. We suggest that a "North" subregion be created for all nations in Europe wishing to join. I believe it will make this entire region more democratic, and make it so that the people in Europe have a say in the "final" affairs in this region. Currently we are isolated, and wish to have some sort of communication. We think this would also build a bridge between the peoples of Africa, and Europe, who have seen each other in fear for so long. Let us finally live in peace and rejoice. We believe the football/soccer games, be a great way for our two cultures to interact and become friends. The ECA is all for in the movement. It's up to the AU to bring this to the table signed. We wish for the next time we talk to be allied in an African Union meeting. Thank You. President of France, Speaker of the ECA, Jean St. Clairemont 104 minutes ago The Disputed Territories of Malawi There’s a few things I must get off my chest. The first thing is that this election is degenerating into a crazy campaign where more and more people are joining without vision, without political skills, and posing a great danger to my candidacy. First there is Tatiana from Israel Palestine. I am sad to report to all of you that I have discovered something very tragic about our dear President Tatiana Metanova. It seems that before she became president of Israel-Palestine she lived a very immoral life that would raise quite a few eyebrows! What a leader has done in the past should be weighed heavily by the public. After all, who we are as a person is reflected in our work. Well, I was really disappointed to learn that Tatiana had posed in dirty magazines several times, including underage. I have heard rumors of films but I have not verified anything. I have several pictures of her magazine which I have sent to the website administrator to post later today. It really disturbed me to see these things. Such immorality and indecency. Africa does not need a woman who sells her body in power – lest, she might sell our continent to foreigners. I am officially breaking all communications with Israel-Palestine fearing that my people may be corrupted by her wicked ways. Tatiana is a westernize liberal loose-like-a-goose anti-valued, immoral, unethical teenage girl who has no experience to become UN Delegate. Just read her lengthy posts, which are obviously typed for her as I believe she still writes with crayola crayons. What kind of UN Delegate does Africa want? Certainly not one that threatens to leave the African Union and abandon its principles! For shame! Then there is Upper Volta. This is who I consider my true opponent in this race. He is a man that knows boundaries. He is a man skilled in diplomacy. Macho and strong, powerful when it comes to war, but like all good men, he can reason well and know when to use diplomacy instead. I wish him luck. Then there is this late-comer, Vasis-Avende and Devenlura. What to say about her? She is a woman, yes. But surprisingly her post made a lot of sense! I was pleasantly surprised by the posts and propaganda machine and believe that for a woman she might actually make a capable politician. I almost feel like saying I am being proven wrong…but then I think of the example of Tatiana and she reinforces 10 my stereotype. At any rate, I believe Vasis-Avende would not make a good candidate because she entered the race really late and we have not heard of her principles or ideas. Only I have presented a clear and concise vision. Only Malawi can lead Africa into the future. Vote for Malawi Today! President Muluzi 86 minutes ago The Sultanate of Serandum Greetings to all, His most adored majesty ,the sultan Ali Paxa X is very interested in the pics President Muluzi is going to show. His third wife has died yesterday with a slight 'indigestion' after a very busy night with the sultan. Sometimes the apetites of the Sultan are very great... Anyway there is a vacancy and if Ms. Tatiana Metanova is such a woman as it is said our 'Light of Heaven' might take her as his third wife. Serandum agrees with his friends the Malawi on his post but reminds that Vasis Avende and Malawi have the same number of endorsements... it's going to be a tight decision. As Serandum is not a member of the AU or UN we simply not care. P.S. De Venlura it seems to be very pretty , is she available?? Rajiv, personal secretary of his most revered majesty Seconds ago The Republic of Rwanda I have evidence (given to me by the Malawi Intelligence Agency) that the Tatiana of Israel-Palestine has modeled for dirty magazines. This is apaulling! I am outraged! I am sure everyone over in Malawi is outraged too, especially President Muluzi. This is just more evidence that Tatiana has no morals or ethics. I will send the dirty pictures to the website administrator so that he posts them. Hopefully I can edit them so they are not too graphic. I am really disgusted at Israel-Palestine's candidacy and stand in complete solidarity with President Muluzi's candidacy! Reginold Deny Sub-secretary of Foreign Affairs 56 The OOC: I think the pictures thing is kind of crazy. I mean just cause I pick a picture for my leader doesn't mean minutes Democratic I'm like really Natalie Portman. Plus I mean, she is from Israel herself, which is why I picked her. Israel shares ago Republic of a similar society to Europe, in which highly revealing pictures aren’t really seen as bad as they are in the Israel-Palestine United States. I just kind of think it is a bad why, because that is simply beyond my control. Plus, I know as a fact, Natalie as never posed nude in any public pictures anywhere. It’s kind of like Britney Spears, where people keep on trying to make fakes. IC: Ok, I will admit, I am very Western, but I do not want to force Westernization upon the people of Africa. I wish to simply to seek to improve of all live who wish to see life improved. I respect every nations wishes and will only bring them what they want. All right, we have one day left. So as every normal person might start telling you to vote for me. Well, I don’t know if I am the best person for this title. I also don’t really know if anyone here is the best person for the title. I’m sorry, but none of us are probably what you’d see as ideal for the position. Nobody is perfect. I’m not, and 11 none of the other nations are. Someone must lead us though. When is comes down to it all, I hope you pick wisely. Frankly if not voting for me, I’d vote for Malawi, he has stated his plans the best and believe he’d make the best leader for Africa. Once again I don’t think I’ll win. I’m behind right now, and don’t see how I can pull ahead without a mass vote for me. So if you are not to pick me, please pick Malawi. With the great help of Malawi, I’ve decided not to pull out of the AU. If I have a shot, to be heard, and led Africa, in some way, I’d love to do so, and staying in the AU may give me the best shot to do so. As I said earlier, I shall start the African Games (AG). It will hold track events, swimming events, football (Soccer), rugby, hockey, baseball, volleyball, rowing, archery, skiing, skating events, bowling, and anything else you’d like to introduce. It will be held in Ana Les Villes the first year, and then the second year, I was thinking in Malawi, (of course w/ his permission) I think these games will create a united Africa, in which people from anywhere can enter, and the exchange of cultures will be made, to promote the acceptance of different peoples. I will also make the Red Star Alliance (RSA). It will NOT be a military alliance. It is a medical alliance, which will function like the Red Cross and Crescent. It will be made mainly for African nations, but will provide help anywhere else needed. If you wish to join, then please tell me so. I hope, with the support of many nations this aid program, and help Africa with almost any of its physical problems. As you see, even if I’m not elected for this position as UN Delegate, I will still try to lead the way, for progress in Africa. So please, if you could make it easier for me to get these kind of programs in Africa, and vote for me as UN Delegate. I’ll be able to make these kinds of programs, and get passage that much faster, to hopefully help people faster as well. 24 The minutes Democratic ago States of The Republic of France With Love, President Tatiana Metanova Btw, we are of no relation to the CFA and thought their gameplay was a bit "fruity" if you will. They are nice people though. We wish to see a union for these reasons. OOC: We are kind of bored. We're seperate from the AU, which is what does everything, and kinda actually want to be apart of the game. -----------------------------------------------------------“Currently, we have two seperate organizations. The African Union, and the European Community Association. Europe proposes that the two organizations join. The main and final organization be the African Union. Clairemont 5 The Empire of Will al NAtions wishing to Sign the North Mediteranean Pact (formerly named the Jerusalem pact) please minutes The Azaziel Telegram me delcairing your intentions. Thank you. I will also respond with information about the pact. ago -----------------------------------------------------------Peoples of Africa, Africa and Europe have a shared history and cannot exist without the other. The Isolation of this region is a problem that must be over come by the new UN delegate. Though I am not advertising for any nation running, I am siply saying what I feel must be said. Including the Middle East is a great start to fight the isolation, but north africa, the middle east, and South West asia are culturaly tied together, and we can't turn our backs to our 12 own culture. dorghistan stretches from South East Europe, to Persia, and into several of the Asian soviet block nations, and as far east that they share a border with India in the middle of Asia. The Azaziel has Isreal, Western Turkey, Greece, Italy, Crete, Sicily, Madiera, Corsica, Sardina, and several other Mediteranean islands. We have as much European land as we have Middle eastern Land. The Isolation that several nations such as PRBP practice is dated and works to keep africa from progressing into the future. Technoligical advances are happening in North America, Asia, and Europe, but never is Africa listed as being on the leading edge, never is Africa considered to be even 1st world. The world thinks of huts and spears when they think of Africa, we must let them know that Africa is still tied to its culture, and proud of it. But they must also know that Africa is a leader in the world, a strong region with prosperious nations and progressive thinking. The African Union is a good government, but cannot govern outside Africa efectively. Europe must have its own government that is in relations with the AU. This is one of the points of the North Mediteranean Pact. The creation of a strong multinational government (like the UN or AU). The Goal of the Pact is to increase Global relations with Africa and provide prosperity for those nations who wish to sign, as well as security. A common currancy and free trade is a priority for the pact, and the creation of a reliable network of transit between N.M. Pact nations. Unlike the AU, where the power is i nthe hands of the Securit council, all votes are decided on and voted on by every N.M. Pact nation. No nation's voice will be silenced by a comitee that was put into power to reprosent the majority and not every nation. The Pact also forms an allience between its members, this allience is headed by two naions who are elected by the pact nations. Each of the two leader nations has veto power over the other, this way no single nation gains too much power. As the Pact is my brain child, I will assume position as one of the two leader nations. The other will be elected durring the first conference to be held in Rome. 12 hours ago The Holy Empire of The An other note, THE North MEditeranean PAct is in no way against the AU. I wish to Azaziel have no rivalry or stigmatism. This is simply a way for this area of the region to have a more in-depth and small scaled goernment without the nay-saying of nations from other parts of AFrica. This is kinda of like a Mini AU, but not built the same way. The PAct allready recognizes the AU as a government over those nations who are members. However, several North MEditeranean PAct nations ARE NOT members of the AU. 39 minutes ago The Disputed Territories of Malawi Today is election day and most candidates are glued to their television sets just waiting to see the results – well, I am sure Tatiana Metanova is busier getting her nails and hair done but that is beside the point. I have not been looking at polls and could care less who is ahead at the moment because in the end I believe that I will triumph and the voice of the African people will succeed. I was in communication with United Faiths about the following issue I am going to present. I believe it will lead to a fundamental thinking in the way we think of ourselves and in the way the African Union operates: Since early this year we have been referring to ourselves as “Africans”. What does that mean? Where does the boundary end? It did not end in Arab North Africa, and it did not end in the Middle East. Africa stretched to the Caucus Mountains of Azerbaijan and Georgia. Africa stretched to Persia. So, today we have an east region, a west region, a south region – but no North. We are a compass missing its forward direction, a table missing one of the legs it needs 13 to stand firm, we are an automobile missing a wheel. We have seen an approach by several European countries into this region. Many states who wish to integrate themselves into Africa and into the decision making process of what Africa really is. My vision is not of an Africa that is defined literally from Tunis to Luunia and Areindor to Vasis-Avende. We can not let ourselves be driven by past biases of our preconceptions of what “Africa” is. Please try to step out of traditional definitions. We are creating a new Africa. An “Africa” that extends in influence and scope beyond any geographic feature whether it be the Mediterranean or the Himalayas. There are some regions on this earth that traditionally have not been defined with a clear border, like Asia-Europe or the islands that compose the region of Oceania/Australia. I have done a lot of soul searching and profound philosophical thinking and I have seen the desire of our northern European members to integrate themselves into a new Africa. We need to bring what has been known as “Europe” into a conception we call “Africa”. I don’t mean Africa as in the blackness of the Phazanians or the deserts of Bubonic Plague. I mean the “Africa” defined as the region seeking to uphold and develop the goals of the African Union – those being of peace and respect for sovereignty, respect for human rights and sovereignty of peoples everywhere, and commitment to leave no one behind with particular dedication to those most disenfranchised in society who can not afford basic health services and suffer from starvation. Jean St. Clairemont, the president of France and speaker for the European Community Association (ECA) stated that we have two separate organizations, the AU and ECA. A proposal has been made that the two organizations join in a common vision of what we believe as “Africa”. There is a desire to create an “Africa” that is not about geography or ethnicity, rather about ideals, aspirations and common vision. Therefore, after consultation with United Faiths, current Secretariat General of the AU, it is with great honor and pride that I present: …………………………….. GA015: Incorporation of Europe as North Sub-Region Proposed by France, Malawi, 8/22/03 Sharing the common vision, ideals, and aspirations of Africa, the states of the African Union vote to create a new northern sub-region which will permit all members to join the AU and fully participate in the African decision-making process. The Security Council will also be expanded to include two new seats for the northern sub-region and all AU member states in the northern sub-region will be eligible the post of Secretary-General. Support: 1. Malawi 2. United Faiths Against: Note: As this resolution constitutes an amendment to the charter, it requires a 50% +1 vote – currently 27 votes) …………………………….. The states that I have identified as belonging to this northern region thus far which are located in Africa are: Alhazraq, England and Scotland, France, Union of Soviet SR, Tutonic Ostland, Unified Deutschland. (I might have missed some) Finally, I ask every UN member to remember to vote for Malawi for UN Delegate. I hope to lead this new vision of “Africa” into the future. 14 President Bakili Muluzi 9 minutes ago The Queendom of Phazania Fellow africans, after some deliberation Phazania announces its resuming of normal relations with IsraelPalestine. Some private messages between the two states did the trick. The relations were never cut, just a bit 'turbulent'. Phazania respects the views of Azaziel but declines the participation on the pact. To accuse the Security Council of silencing any voice is unfair and absurd. The Security Council is elected by the region members in a democratic election. A democratic elected member should try to represent its constituents. Phazania has always when called strived to defend them. To transform the AU in a mixed and deorganized rabble it is not our goal. We have however a suggestion for the AU improvement. That some groups of countries should have like permanent ambassadors that could suggest and advise the AU Security Council about the resolutions concerning specific matters. Like Israel-Palestine's RSA medical. Prince Tijani 111 minutes The Holy Empire of ago Wolverton In Space I would like to urge all of my African breatheren to get up and vote for Israel-Palestine. Her goals for Africa are ambitious yet easily attainable. Her tenacity in this UN delegate campaign leads me to believe that she will fight tirelessly for Africa and all is peoples. I find the desperate attempts by Malawi to dredge up the past is childish and severely lacking in thought. Why would I want someone like this continent? In conclusion, Irael-Palestine is the best candidate for UN delegate and deserves to win. Sam Nujoma President 21 minutes ago The Democratic Republic of Hello my fellow Africans, Israel-Palestine Well, time is practically up. I have seen the Africa – Europe merge and really like the idea. I’ve had communication with Europe for quite some time, and find them to be very helpful nations. I love this idea fully, but it’s timing might be a bit off. Malawi has basically proclaimed himself winner. Though it just may seem over, I find it rude to Upper Volta, Vasis-Avende, and myself. None the less I approve of this radical idea. Yet I feel if this is to happen something more must be done. Having four regions like we currently have would give Europe a fourth of the voting power in the AU. I am right? Each region gets two top officials, thus Europe would have a fourth of the power in the AU. Well as nice as this all seems, currently with the number of states in all the regions, and in population, Europe is heavily out gunned. Were giving a smaller amount of nations, and population, more power than the rest of Africa. This is not equal. Something must be done before this takes place. Either re-draw the lines for the regions, or just make new ones. I propose this: 5 sub-regions all the same, just add the sub-region: central This is cut up power more evenly. Thus Europe only has a 5th of the power in the AU. If you’d like you could cut it up to delegates to the AU. The West gets say 4, East 4, South 3, and North 2. This is just an example and can be done anyway you’d like. Malawi may claim most Women inferior, and saying I lack skills in African History. Well here is some food for thought; he is apparently a Male, who is lacking skills in Mathematics. Obviously anyone who looks at this must say, if A is greater than B than A 15 must get more stuff. Here I’ll put it into an equation for you. My Plan A = Africa; E = Europe; Pop = Population; Del = AU Delegates A Pop > E Pop Thus A Del > E Del With Malawi’s Plan A Pop > E Pop This doesn’t really matter and thus: A Del = E Del Malawi’s Plan should not be done. This would once again put Africans under the Europeans. Malawi is all ready proclaiming himself the savior for Africa, but isn’t doing a good job looking out for your rights as people, and as Africans. Vote for me, I’m all ready saving the “Great Malawi” from his errors and which would screw over the African people. We need a responsible person who won’t make these kinds of mistakes. Vote for Israel-Palestine and Tatiana Metanova. I’ll make sure Africa is always treated equally. With Love, Tatiana Metanova OOC: Gosh those American Government classes, sure do help! 8 minutes ago The Republic of United Faiths Dear Africans, Today is still election day and at this late hour we do not have a clear winner. Malawi is one vote away from becoming UN Delegate but trailing close behind Malawi are the three tied states of Israel-Palestine, Vasis-Avende and Upper Volta. I encourage ALL UN states to vote and I ask that those states that are still endorsing Two Lands, to please remove your votes. This is common procedure during an election. I'd like to propose that Israel-Palestine voting be extended to Sunday Night, as many people are starting school or have work, and can't get on to vote on the weekdays. Our voting has only been from Monday-Friday. Thus being very unfair for all African UN members who cannot log on until weekends. This may not make a difference, but it is fair. Anyway, I am leaving on my last vacation for the year. I'll be back on Tuesday Night (PST) So basically don't expect to see anything else big from me until Wednesday the 27th. Once again, please vote for me. Time is running short. We can't stop thinking about tomorrow, as tomorrow is the world we live in. Kie, Head of Foreign Affairs for Alcatraz 13 hours ago The People's Republic of Bubonic Plague Free Peoples of Africa! The workers of the PRBP are indeed disturbed by recent developments initiated by Malawi. President Muluzi claims that the role of UN delegate supercedes that of the AU and has thus chosen to ignore SCR #15. In fact, UN members constitute only a small minority of African states, and Malawi has been elected by a mere eight votes. We have worked hard in Africa to establish the AU as the supreme authority over the continent. It is a body where the security council is entirely elected and each member has a vote. Malawi wishes to replace the consensus of the AU with the dictatorship of the UN delegate. If President Muluzi continues to undermine the AU he may well destroy it. We ask that Malawi the wishes of the elected representatives of the AU. We also call on all member states to speak up on this issue. We shall briefly address GA #15. In expanding the AU, we will undermine its role as the voice of Africa. While it is important for Africa to be active on the world stage, the AU has a specific purpose. That is to keep peace on our Glorious Continent, and be an advocate for it. It cannot do either if we admit foreign influence into its decision making structure. Thus, the PRBP votes a defiant NO. Africa is not an island, isolated from the world. The AU is a failure any ways. Nuclear war with Colokits and Kicly dragged the proud Azaziel into turmoil, and the AU did nothing to stop this war. The AU charter deals greatly with stoping nuclear war, and it failed to stop that war, and then did nothing ot help in recovery. PRBP, I see you flying the AU as a flag all the time to advance your cause, and you constantly propose resolutions (many agaisnt my nation). Never though, did you lift a finger to enact the AU's soul cause; you are a symbol of the corruption in the AU and the very poster-child of its failure. I still do not know hwere relations with PRBP went sour, it is as if they have hated my empire from the day of its creation (honostly man, what gives? I've never moved against you in hostility, and i've even offered to help you out before, and all you do is stand against every single thing i believe in and use the AU as your platform). We wish ot have friendly relations with every nation of Africa, Europe, South-West Asia, and abroad. We have no interest for war any more, and have disbanded a large portion of our military. Now this Empire turns to peaceful trades, fishing and production, not fighting and death. We ask that the AU open relations with the world, end the backwords practices of Africa and lead the region into the future. Why are you content with your low lives? None of you have ANY right to that land. No nation in Africa has any real claim to that land! You are all voltures and grave robbers! Every last one of you! NOT A SINGLE NATION HAS ANY TRUE CLAIM TO THAT LAND! NOT THE AU, NOT BLUE NILE, NOT SOUTH NUBIA! NO NATION HAS RIGHT TO THAT LAND! Azazielite Forces WILL FORCEFULY PREVENT ANY INVADING ARMY FROM ENTERING TWO LANDS! Aid forces will be permited to enter, but they must remain UNARMED; they will be escorted by Azazielite troops. Two Lands's people are long time friends of the Azaziel, and we will not turn our back on them in this dark time, and we will not let them be crushed by the bloodthirsty and greedy nations of Africa. you invasion are NO BETTER THAN MINE! You battled so fiercely against my invasion i nthe Mediteranean, and now you invade land IN AFRICA! A long time ago, when the Empire was young and full of vigor, we vowed to his Radiant majesty that we would protect his borders as if they were our own. We will still honor this promise, even if it leads to the downfall of the Empire, as honor is the greatest human quality, and most valuable. We are not an AU nation, but we will accept any AU RECOGNIZED aid teams. "Peace keepers" will be asked to return to their home nations or disarm. We admit we have wanted the Sinia for quite some time, but we will not claim the Sinia untill all hostile armies are destroyed, and Two Lands is safe from the voltures who claim that land. Stay out of that desert, if you enter, none of your troops will ever see there home lands again. ~ Imperial Azaziel 28 minutes ago The Confederacy of South Nubia South Nubia is horribly offended by the words of the leader of the evil Empire of the Azaziel. They have absolutely no right to block our forces from entering the Two Lands. Our army is large, and our ships are sturdy; withdraw now, and we will not fire upon your citizens. We will not rest while the Two Lands is defiled by the footsteps of your foul people. 11 hours The Confederacy We also find it humorous that the Empire of The Azaziel calls us vultures, but they admit ago of South Nubia that they will occupy the Sinai Peninsula after peacekeepers have done their work in the Two Lands. Motivated by an interest in keeping the Pharaonic traditions of the Two Lands alive? We think not. Only South Nubia is capable of doing that; the Empire of the Azaziel merely wishes to increase its territory size, while we seek only peace for our brothers to the north. 11 hours The Free Land of All I have to say is that South Nubia and Azaziel better not be expecting a vote from me for ago The Blue Nile Security Council. You are both acting like children. It is obvious that Blue Nile is the rightful owner of everything bordering the Nile River. Thank you. 10 hours The Holy ago Empire of The I would like to remind Africa, that I have Withdrawn from the AU and am NO LONGER A MEMBER. I will keep Pharonic culture Alive, and I will not occupy the Sinia after 29 Azaziel peacekeepers are done for two reasons. One being, I will not allow armed peace keepers into Two LAnds. And second being, I have no use for the Sinia any more. I am not interested in Expansion, far too many Azazielites have died for expansion, that was the fault of the Azlighs. I ask that the this land be distributed in a legal and orderly fashion, not this bloody thrust for it. I will keep any invaders out of Two Lands, as I have promised to his Radiance. South Nubia has no border with Two LAnds, and would then have to ship troops and supplies across the Red Sea, where the azaziel has a strong NAval power. Neither Blue Nile OR South Nubia'smilitaries are as well funded as the Azaziels (I spend most of my money there, and my economy is far better than yours, South Nubia's is the worst in the game, while mine is the strongest). I have a larger population than Blue nile, but not as strong as South Nubia. So it is dificult to say who's forces are superior (though the UN puts me at 14th in the region, and the others past 100). Cheers, Launa DeVenlura First Chancellor Vasis-Avende hours ago The Disputed Territories of Malawi I have heard all of these arguments and I say enough! I agree with Phazania, United Faiths, and surprisingly Bubonic Plague. Look at what is happening in Two Lands: There are five parasitic states that wish to conquer it and make it their own: Libya in the name of peace wishes to incorporate all of Two Lands. Azaziel, power-hungry empire that has raped most of the Mediterranean islands, now wishes to add Two Lands to their trophy case. Blue Nile will fight to control anything bordering the Nile River. South Nubia believes Two Lands once belonged to them. Israel-Palestine now wants to control all of Two Lands and “administer” the territory. Enough, I say, enough! I have been accused of many things, among them trying to meddle too much. So many voices have cried out, “leave Two Lands alone in memory of the government.” I am afraid that given the soon-to-be fight between 6 countries, it is simply not possible to look the other way. There are simply too many interests in the country. Too many hotly contended square kilometers and I will not let Africa sink into a regional war over desert and a strip of water. This is law: Security Council Resolution SC17 has passed. Here it is again: SECURITY COUNCIL RESOLUTION 17: On the Pacific Administration of Two Lands 32 by the African Union Proposed by: United Faiths, August 26, 2003 The Security Council resolves to send a rapid reaction stabilization force in which Libya and other AU members will be incorporated, to provide peace and stability to the region. Votes Requested: Secretary General Malawi: Approve West Councilor Bubonic Plague: Approve West Councilor Phazania: Approve East Councilor Dorghistan: Approve East Councilor Ouea: Abstain South Councilor Territory: Abstain South Councilor Green Free State: Approve Total Votes: 5-0 (2 abstentions) A joint force of AU countries (excluding those 5 already personally involved) are on route to Two Lands to establish a peacekeeping force. Particular thanks to Phazania and some non-AU countries like Warlordia who are assisting in this operation and see the merit in this process. Then, in one month, on October 1st, a referendum will be held on the status of Two Lands. It will either become a new country, or incorporated into another state. It is ludicrous to believe that the area would just remain ungoverned where the people would be left in total lawlessness. One month of AU peacekeeping followed by referendum. That is final. When the AU Secretary General/UN Delegate puts his foot down that is final. I will not have chaos in this continent during Then there is the issue of alliances. I realize that I am the head of the AU and I know the charter backwards and forward. Zalaya pointed out article 7 of the principles, “affirmation of a policy of non-alignment with regard to all blocs.” This is true. As members of the AU we can not ally ourselves individually as countries to any other bloc outside of the AU. So becoming a member of the Free Africa Group is fine, because it is within the AU. Becoming a member of the Coalition Forces Alliance is not allowed. However, regional alliances are allowed /between regions/. The AU, like the Organization for American States (OAS), European Union (EU) and ASEAN is an inter-regional organization which has a right to form alliances, blocs with other group of countries that can result in the fulfillment of mutual interests. The AU does not serve a single state. It looks out for the best interests of all members. Alliances with other regions are not directed at benefiting one particular Africa state. Allied regions provide common goods that are shared by all, such as security, lower trade barriers, etc. Therefore, I ask that those states lacking legal scholars to please consult privately with Malawi before making generalizations and falsehoods on the board which might be misinterpreted or adopted by some states. Simply speaking, you don’t know what you are talking about Zalaya – no disrespect. President Bakili Muluzi, UN delegate /and/ AU Secretary General 33 111 The Republic of ALERT! As Azaziel and UF have been allies for a long time, I will provide Azaziel with economic assistance, but...only if they retire from Two Lands. Dear friends, leave Two Lands for the AU to deal with. The AU has successfully peacekept Kuwait and Gabon preventing wars in both places. I think it is best for Africa. Finally, I want to say that Security Council Elections finish tomorrow. If you have not voted for your Security Council Delegates Please DO SO! I do not like to embarass states publicly, but I think I should tell you which countries have not yet voted: From the Western Subregion: Ancauze, Alhazraq, Areindor, Chuda, Gold Coast, Great Flanders, Libya, Mauritania, Munjiri, New Gambia, Suguta, Tunis, Zevmar From the Eastern Subregion: Aksum, Amstra Liberation Army, Azaziel, Bangui, Blue Nile, Cams Angelic Hell, Central African Republic, Israel-Palestine, Kalcutta, Khartoum, Lesser Shpists, Leopoldville, Mlaraux Antilles, New Smyrna, Ouea, Setonstan, Sudan, Uganda, Zalaya. From the Southern Subregion: Bombathaland , Engleland, Eritania, Gaborone, Great Bight, Green Free State, Hey Dude, Indian Africa, Lesotho, Luar, Nairobi, North Madagascar, Wolverton in Space and Yng. Please do not be surprised when you see the results of this election. THE ELECTION WILL NOT BE EXTENDED. Those states elected will represent you. Sadly, this is the lowest voter turnout since the election process began. Really pathetic the way some states completely take for granted the democracy they have been armed with. Hopefully the new Security Council will be able to bring some sense into their minds. I fear that I may have failed to do that in my time in the Security Council. To recap the two important messages I am stating today: I. ONLY ONE SPOT LEFT ON AFRICAN TOURNAMENT…SEND IN YOUR MASCOT PICTURES to [email protected] OR URLs to United Faiths II. We merely wish to ensure the survival of a departed friend's culture. This would best be done by joining the Two Lands and Nubia together, as they were together in ancient times. The Azaziel are evil, and will be driven from the Two Lands. South Nubia calls upon all just nations to aid us in our mission to free the Two Lands from the FOUR states that seek to occupy it without any legitimate claims to the area. South Nubia has a long history in Africa, and all should realize that it is no land-hungry monster. It merely wishes to aid the people of the Two Lands, as they were some of our dearest friends while their state still survived. 4 hours ago The Republic of United Faiths Dear Africans, Just a quick quick reminder, EVERY DAY I update the Africa website www.geocities.com/nsafrica In case you missed what occurred in Africa during the week, summaries of the daily events can be found on: http://www.geocities.com/easy2beatnojoke/WeeklyPics.html If you have not been on for a few weeks, you may find weekly day-by-day summaries on http://www.geocities.com/nsafrica/History.html Having said that, you may find the latest on the Two Lands saga on our website. It seems that the people of Two Lands are mounting a rudimentary army on horseback to stop any invaders. They are passionate in remaining independent. However, there is little organization and widespread public disorder. The AU, as the most legitimate force in Africa, will attempt to bring the population under control. Nairb Selarom 3 hours ago The Democratic Republic of Israel-Palestine I'm offended by Noble Patricians remark. I in no way am trying to take away votes. I'm a huge supporter for democracy, and believe you’re out of line being a critic of my nation. I follow both AU and UN laws. I also believe in free speech, which apparently you don't. I believe I can criticize my leader if I don’t believe they are doing their job. I am overjoyed Malawi finally took action on the Two Lands issue. I am not happy they throw my nation into the same boat as all of the other nations trying to take the land. Once again Malawi does a great job offending, and putting down my nation. I offered a helping hand, trying to restore order into the land. Frankly I intended to govern the land until the Two Lands regime came back. I believe he does intend on 35 returning. Also I did ask the AU for the right to govern the land. Nonetheless I’m still unhappy with Malawi, and do not support his plans. Until he can stop insulting my nation, and actually do what he said he would, I will unwillingly follow him. I did not vote for him, and won’t pledge my support. Respect is not given it is earned. I currently open the doors of the Red Star Alliance (RSA). A medical alliance that is to help all nations that suffers from any problem. It’s head quarters are in Ana Les Villes our capitol city. I recall Phazania also liking the idea, and offer to put a 2nd more centralized African HQ in Phazania’s own capitol. War seems to be on the verge of happening in the former Two Lands region. We shall send 5,000 neutral medics, doctors, and nurses, to aid the injured. I myself have returned from a visit to the United States. I visited Yellowstone National Park and really enjoyed myself. I got in touch with nature and my inner self. Yellowstone was the first National Park in the world and I personally propose that something similar be done for Africa’s natural forests, and beautiful land. I suggest that the World Parks Federation (WPF) be created to save Africa’s beauty before it is all chopped down. To hopefully lead the movement, the Dead Sea area will be the first World Park area that shall for here on never be touched. It shall be open to visitors, and such, but never to development, and industry. I hope to help lead Africa in certain areas that Malawi has not. I have another 13 program that Africa could use to better itself. The internal structure of Africa suffers and needs to be helped. I hope these programs can help Africa. I also have one final statement to Malawi. Get a move on it. You are the proclaimed basic leader of Africa. I am not the leader, but why must I create programs? I do not know. Introduce the programs you promised while running for the position, and start helping Africa. Long live Great Leader! 36 The Benevolent General Skrog, Minister of External Affairs. 14 hours The Holy ago Empire of Wolverton In Space This is a message to all of Africa, especially those in the Southern sub-region, from President Sam Nujoma: The government of Luar is on the brink of collapse. When the nation inevitably ceases to exist, approximately 250,000 troops from Wolverton's National Defense Force, with significant amounts of armor and air support, will cross into the former Luar to secure its borders from invasion by any outside force and quell any and all internal threats to its peace. Once it has been determined that the former Luar is safe from any threats internal and external, a glorious reunification ceremony will take place at the former border of Wolverton and Luar just south of the capital of Windhoek. The southern half of my nation was taken and given to Luar quite some time ago and I am declaring right now that the land within the borders of Wolverton in Space will never again be given to any nation wishing to seek major state status. Any nation encroaching on Wolverton's land will be met with force. I will also take this time to pledge any support necessary in order to secure peace and stability for the people of Two Lands. Good day. 13 hours The Holy You are no better than the Old Expansionists of Azaziel! The only difference is we invaded ago Empire of The before a government existed, you invade after it dies! This must be stopped! Azaziel Azazielite forces (there aren't many in Two lands, only 2 legions, and they aren't at full strength) are being ordered to assist the AU any way they can, but will not pull out of Two Lands. We will fortify East of the Nile river, from the Mediterranean coast down to the Southern Border. Our troops are young and inexperienced, the bottom of our barrel so to say. With a nuclear war we are weakened and have been forced to conscript several citizens into the army (it wasn't like America and Russia nuked each other, it was just a few cities gone, not the entire damn nation. Its more like Hiroshima and Nagasaki, as I never used or owned the H-Bomb, and my bombs were bombs, not missiles). As Most of our military was based in the Mediterranean, very few military casualties came from the war, but the civilian toll was horrific. With Jerusalem mostly destroyed, Tel-aviv obliterated, and Hebron incinerated, and Gaza devastated, our Empire has shifted away from our cradle in Israel and now centers on the Mediteranean. Knossos is our New Capitol on Crete (East end of the island) and the Imperial palace is located on Crete. Keep in mind also, that Israel Palestine was the main target of these nuclear attacks in the holy land, not the Azaziel. However, since Israel - Palestine lived within the azaziel, we were greatly affected. Regarding the African Union, the Azaziel will not re-enter untill Malawi steps down, or is removed. They have violated the AU charter, and we will not re-join the AU in a time when the AU leader is a loose cannon on deck and over-powering the AU resolutions that are democraticly decided apon. (I got bored and read the AU charter, ALL you AU nations should too, ESPESIALY those in the SC or the SG) I ask that this fighting over the desert of Two Lands stop. No nation has any legal claim to that land, and your invasion are no better than the Expansion invasion the Azaziel carried out that all of you screamed in protest of. We Demand Libya, Blue Nile, and South Nubia leave Two Lands. Once these militaries have left, Azazielite Troops will pull out and leave Two Lands to the AU. We ask though 37 that our Mono-rail system with Two Lands (focused along the Nile and Med Coast) not be dammaged, and that we keep authority over the Rails. We also ask that our Bases in Two Lands be left un-touched, as removing them would cripple our defensive abilities in the Mediteranean, and leave the Empire prone to a naval war. An epidemic has hit the Azazielite Army in Two lands. A disease believed to be Plague. This is possibly the result of a biological weapon, or a new string of plague that has become active after several years (plague still exists people, and its a problem in africa). So far only Sixty troops have fallen to the disease, but an other hundread are contaminated. We ask the AU for medical assistance in treating our troops, as most of our medical system is busy caring for radiation burns and poisoning in Isreal - Palestine. We also ask for AU assistance in treating the wounded from the Nuclear attacks several months ago (come on, the AU charter speaks greatly about nuclear war, and since you failed that time, perhaps you should help treat the wounded). ~ Imperial Azaziel 12 hours The ago Democratic States of The Republic of France We urge the passing of GA015: Incorporation of Europe as North Sub-Region. United Faiths would also like to put some “territory less” nations into the European area, thus allowing the North region to grow even further. I'm sort of independant, but not really. I don't really have my own land. So if the AU grants a northern region, I will slowly make the move to the Slavic lands of Europe. I beg that the Northern region is made because i'd really like to have my very own land where I can be completely independant. This will give Azaziel almost complete control of The entire area that I currently sort of own. My Treaties, and friendships will continue though. Nonetheless if Europe is granted a north AU sub-region that is where i'll move. If they aren't, then I will stay where I am because I'd still like to be in the AU. Despite being a Akhtendum microstate, Akhtendum has been here a long time and is just as large as some of the contendors for the Two Lands territory. Of course we have neither the right nor inclination to step up and demand the territory that is so hotly contested. But why must the entire land be sworn over to one single power hungry dictator? By carefully dividing the land amongst the choicest applicants, by ensuring that cultural and religious areas remain intact, and by relying principally upon the guidance of the council, we can both avoid conflict and provide a lasting, fair and advantageous environment for peace and understanding to flourish. I believe that I myself have already highlighted Akhtendum's dire need for land and our desire to become a larger, more important and more active member in Africa's great history. The People's Republic of Libya In regard to Israel-Palestine’s Red Star Alliance (RSA), I think it may have a little bit of redundancy. You see, there is already the Red Cross made up of southern Christian medical response teams. Then there is the Red Crescent, made up of Muslim countries providing emergency medical aid to Muslim peoples. Now you make the Red Star Alliance? What is the for? Only those of the Jewish faith? So that would mean that the RSA would include an entire ten, or rather five, or actually one country? One country! There is only one Jewish country in Africa as best as I can count, the others are probably members of the Red Cross or Red Crescent. Maybe if Israel would change religions or allow the Red Crescent to assist people in the Palestinian side? Just let me know about that. Icky icky blood makes me want to faint! Good day. 4 hours ago The Disputed Territories of Malawi I think President Tatiana is out to lunch with the national parks idea. We need resources to exploit and live. I would rather cut down a forest and sell the lumber, giving children something to eat, rather than preserving forests while the population dies of starvation from massive unemployment. National parks and conservation of forests is only a dream for rich countries. Africa is poor and can not afford such luxuries. Tatiana speaks like a true westerner. Maybe if she was in touch more with African problems than with nature she would not find herself so isolated on these issues. I have not heard one word of support for these national park ideas. I also wish Wolverton in Space good luck in their conquest of Luar, who was once an active player but now seems to be vegetating more than anything else. I have also been greatly shocked by a huge rebellion in my south west spine. It seems Hey Dude has broken away from Malawi dwarfing the size of our state considerably. Well, I have no problems with that. I am not power-hungry at all. However, it has come to my attention that Indian Africa, north of us (former Nabowin) has also ceased to exist. So we are removing our military forces from Hey Dude and rushing into Indian Africa to bring stability, conquer, incorporate and prevent any microstates from ever returning to the area. I would also like to announce that Malawi is officially removing all tariffs with Tutonic Ostland. This great nation has had much political wisdom in their intra-governmental posts, so we will reward them with no tariffs. In addition, we are awarding them #1 preferential trading status. We will buy goods from Tutonic Ostland before any other country! Long live democracy! Finally, I want to respond to France’s declaration that “nobody” has voted on the resolution. New information on the soccer matches has been added and the leadership page (http://www.geocities.com/nsafrica/leadership.html) has been updated. I think I am most impressed by the number of women that have joined the security council. I can not recall a time when three women (nearly half) of the council was made up by women. I applaud these clear examples of equality on our continent and would only wish that other regions of the world would take note and follow the example. We have three brilliant and capable women in key positions of power. Let us celebrate this momentous achievement! In other news, tomorrow I will describe the Pan African Soccer Tournament in more detail, but I would just like note that (as rankings, OOC) are used to determine winners in this tournament, there are some clear favorites. I would like to wish all the teams, especially my own United Faiths Cuscuses, good luck! Nairb Selarom President hours ago The Regarding Libya's Comment to the Red Star Alliance: Democratic Republic of Thank You for bringing this up. To make it clear the RSA is not a Jewish Medical Israel-Palestine Association. To make it easier i'll even change the name. In any case I felt that the RSA was needed because even though we have organizations such as the Red Cross and Red Crescent, none are really used. The new name for the organization is: The International Medical Association (IMA) All who wish to join please give me a TG. Now to address my World Parks Federation. I think this a great idea. Sure we can cut down trees, and such, but hey, what are you going to do when they are all gone? I think we must keep a certain amount of our forests and such safe for our future. What are you going to say when all of Africa's Diverse Animals and 44 Forest are all dead? Can you Malawi look up with honor being the person that vetos that idea to save what we have before it's all gone?... We don't need to save the entire forest, but we do need to keep a good part of it. Plus the key to economic growth is not by cutting down trees, but by creating growth in a hi-tech ecomony. Israel-Palestine is currently invested completely in manufacturing and technology. This is the key to being a large economic power and prevent our children from starving. Sure we have to start from some place. Logging is not exactly the best way to get there though. If you look India is currently becoming extremely hi-tech by educating it's population. Once again it comes down to education. That is the future to get out of the slums, and feed our children. In another one of my ideas I suggest making an African University System. My nation has over 15 large universities working. I suggest Africa also gets a large university system going. By the way... I am not a Jewish Government. You'll notice that all people in my land are treated as equals. They is no longer a Palestinian and Jewish side. The nation is split up into states. If you look at my website a map has been nicely made to show this. My nation is forged on a government based on American Democracy. Peoples of Idi Amin hours ago The CNN BREAKING NEWS: Community of Cable News SOCCER OFFICIALS ANNOUNCE START OF TOURNAMENT Network The PAST is before us! The Pan African Soccer Tournament officially begins this Monday. The opening ceremony is on Sunday afternoon. Many are curious to know how the tournament will take place? Which country has the best chances of winning, etc., etc. First I would like to communicate that the tournament has 32 national teams competing against each other for the Pan African Cup. This elite prize is only awarded once a year. Considering the political instability of many countries which cease to exist, I would say that not many countries in Africa may live to see a second tournament! The tournament is composed of 5 single elimination rounds, which means if your country 45 loses, they are out of the tournament. In the first week 16 teams will be eliminated. In the second week, 8. In the third week, 4. Then two and the final match on the fourth week. There is a grand prize which is the Pan African Cup which is plated of solid gold (OOC There is also a prize. As I am a bookseller and have an ample supply of books, I will provide my inventory list to the winner and after choosing their desired text I will ship that person a free book). (I have tested the OOC method for this game repeatedly and carefully, fine tuning variables for logic and gameplay for accuracy). The details of the OOC game which will determine the outcome of this tournament are located at: http://www.geocities.com/easy2beatnojoke/Sports4.html If anyone believes there are any flaws in that system, I would be interested in learning your concerns. Based on the overall ratings that I have calculated, the top 10 strongest teams in Africa are the following: 1. The Territory 2. Serandum 3. Dorghistan 4. Warlordia 5. Bubonic Plague 6. Noble Patricians 7. Cams Angelic Hell 8. Malraux Antilles 9. Afrikaaner Enclave 10. Rwanda However, I have thrown enough probability into the equation that an inferior team can defeat a superior one. It will take luck. The more inferior a team is, the more luck it will take. So who is playing against who? The official brackets are at: http://www.geocities.com/easy2beatnojoke/Sports5.html I have also made a really nice excel table which will be updated daily as the games progress. You can find it at the webpage above or for those to lazy to do all the clicking you can go here: http://www.geocities.com/easy2beatnojoke/PAST.xls Finally, for those really really lazy or who detest the website so much they rather not visit it, the following are the lineups for the first week of competition. (To determine the lineups, I made little slips of papers with each country’s name and drew them at random. These are the teams that resulted: Group A Warlordia vs. Libya (Sep 1) Green Free State vs. Wolverton in Space (Sep 2) Malawi vs. United Faiths (Sep 3) Lozi vs. Noble Patricians (Sep 4) 46 Group B Cams Angelic Hell vs. Anjouan (Sep 1) Afrikaaner Enclave vs. Israel-Palestine (Sep 2) Western Sahara vs. Rwanda (Sep 3) Blue Nile vs. USSR (Sep 4) Group C Uganda vs. France (Sep 5) Azaziel vs. Malraux Antilles (Sep 6) Territory vs. Leopoldville (Sep 8) Serandum vs. Zalaya (Sep 9) Group D Gaborone vs. Bubonic Plague (Sep 5) Vasis Avende vs. Phazania (Sep 6) Luunia vs. South Nubia (Sep 8) Dorghistan vs. Tutonic Ostland (Sep 9) Good luck to all! Today the region called "Empire of Power" managed to invade "Llama Region", despite the efforts of the Pacific Army and some of GLA to prevent it. Their victory was short lived, because lots of them got banned from NS. The reasons were multiple: cheating with UN endorsements, lying to the natives, modifying the regional factbook to say that they were doing good and PA & GLA bad, using foul language, and of course, griefing. This is a victory we will al remember. Many regions had fallen under their domination. Just today, after they conquered "Glens Falls" yesterday, they threatened to destroy that innocent region if Pacific Army and GLA doesn't retreat and let "Llama Region" fall under their rule. They also tried to corrupt some of the PA members. This is simply unacceptable. Let this be a warning to every other griefers around. Seconds ago: The Armed Republic of Apexton ceased to exist. On other issue, Queen Noor will visit Mr. Moses LaGrande in the next Saturday to discuss future trade agreements and the future of the AU . This a next step in the african tour she is taking. On a lighter approach, the phazanian 'Owls' are delighted with the perspective of facing the 'Killer Puffs' . Second coach Kevin Numu when asked of the 'Owls' chances of winning said :'This will be a even match that can go either way. The team that scores first will probably win it as both teams have great defenses.' Miles Kasumbi, F.O. Phazania 2 hours ago The Dear Beloved Africans, Democratic Republic of I am delighted to join the AU Security Council representing the Eastern sub-region. I Israel-Palestine personally believe much work is at hand, and much can be done. Together I believe we can all lead Africa into a period of renaissance, or re-birth. I also approve of Serandum's proposal. Hopefully it will end the chaos created when these territory problems happen in the future. As a gesture of good will and peace President Tatiana Metanova and Vice-President JeanLouis de Clemont will be visiting nations from all around Africa and Europe. Starting in Southern Africa today they hope to meet leaders and forge new friendships. During this trip they will also stop for a few days in Rome to discuss the North Mediterranean Pact. After this trip they will take a short two day rest in Moscow, USSR and then move quickly to London, England and Scotland where they hope talks on nuclear waste material clean up will help Israel-Palestine clean up the nuclear waste was thrown across the land by the massive invasion launched serveral weeks ago. Schedule: Southern Africa 29-30 Western Africa 30-31 Europe 31-4 Eastern Africa 4-7 Turn Around 7-10 If any leaders present anything important during this trip the "Turn Around" time period is to go back and address those issues. Shorty afterward the second Democratic Election will be held in Israel-Palestine. Currently Ms. Metanova holds a large lead over conservative John MacDougall. She also announced that if she wins this next election it shall be her last term. Israel-Palestine terms last 2 years. (OOC: Because populations grow so quickly I consider 2 years about 2-3 months.) The Israel-Palestine National Soccer Team got ready for their first match against the Afrikaaner Enclave today. Israel-Palestine is favored to lose 2-1. Captain Vladmir Kozlov briefly commented on the upcoming game. "Even though we are told we're gonna lose, we'll try our best. That is what counts anyway. If we can we'll upset them and get as far as we can." The Israel-Palestine team who prides themselves for great goalkeeping, and ballhandling looks to try and stun the world with an upset. In other news the International Medical Association recieved praise from the French, who 48 have joined, and have donated over 12 million dollars. The hope is to jump start the association and hopefully jump start medicial breakthroughs as the association as launched their own biotech section to help cure disease. Foreign Affairs Minister Rebecca Klingensmith 2 hours ago The Sultanate of The Sudanese for those people of africa i have decided to become independent of the two lands egypt and Sudan on the map. Seconds The Disputed ago Territories of Malawi First I want to say that Metanova better not come knocking at our door when she visits southern Africa. She is just going out on a shopping spree across Africa and this is costing her population millions. Completely and totally unjust! At any rate, I think Rebecca Klingensmith actually sounds like she knows what she is talking about. I believe she should run in the next election. I don't think Tatiana stands a chance. Klingensmith sounds like she knows what she is talking about. We would allow the opposition candidate, Vladmir Kazlov or Klingensmith meet with the leadership of Malawi, but not Tatiana , there is just too much animosity. On the issue of soccer, we have noticed that our first match is against United Faiths. This comes as no surprise. This game is obviously fixed. What better way to humiliate us than having the UN Delegate lose to the country which designed the games, is running the games, manipulates the scores. We don't believe a word United Faiths says. In the past, they have been known to lie and manipulate and coerce just to get their way. When they want something done they do it. If they want to win a tournament they will win it. Let's try this little experiment, just see in the first week which teams lose and which teams win. I bet you will see clearly the pathetic game that is being mounted. Simply stated, I know that Malawi's soccer team is superior to all others in Africa. We have international soccer coach legend João Caldas de Almeida, who is a master at the sport. We have an exceptional team of black runners. These Malawians have been running since birth. Really, you think my team is any match for desert hoping Arabs from UF? I don't think so. I would like to make a little bet with United Faiths: If UF wins the tournament, UF will leave the region and Malawi will gain founder status. I think this is a nice prize to play for. This way we can ensure there will be no corruption in the game. Furthermore, I would like to tell you why I think Malawi is the best team, After we crush United Faiths we come up against Lozi or Noble Patricians. Noble Patricians are a good team, but they are also desert hoppers. We run in the Savannas. The Lozi, well they aren't even active politically so I don't know what to make of them, but I am sure that Noble Patricians will crush them. So after we defeat Noble Patricians who do we challenge? Probably Libya seems like the strongest team but we have a secret weapon to get rid of them. All in all, I think Malawi as the UN Delegate should probably get an extra goal opportunity or something else. After all, what good is it to be UN Delegate if you don't have a few priviledges here and there? Maybe if UF would add an extra goal to each match or take away a goal from a competing team. That would make the game more fair and exciting for 49 everybody. I hope everyone shares my concerns. President Muluzi Go Malawi! Ra ra ra! Go Malawi! Ba na na! Go Malawi Jackasses, Hip Hip Hurray! August 30, 2003 13 hours ago The Colony of Tutonic Ostland Aw why did we have to get Dorghistan first match?! 11 hours ago The People's Republic of Bubonic Plague Free Peoples of Africa! The workers of the PRBP have the gravest misgivings about the UN delegate. Malawi has exhibited some spectacularly unstatesmanlike behaviour. While they profess that a larger more inclusive Africa is the keystone of their program, their actions are quite contrary. They seem to harbour some disturbingly racist thoughts about the people of Africa. President Muluzi describes a substantial proportion of the African brotherhood as “desert hoping Arabs”. Yet, they claim to represent the whole Africa. In addition, Malawi continues to be in violation of a security council resolution by illegally and illegitimately maintaining allied status with the CFA. These are not the actions of a leader of a proud region such as Africa. President Muluzi is behaving like a petulant imp. Mother Africa certainly deserves better! Long live Great Leader! The Benevolent General Skrog, Minister of External Affairs. 11 hours ago The Holy Empire of The Azaziel We of the Holy Empire of the Azaziel declare neutrality between the AU and all other blocs of nations. Also, As we had been prapairing for nuclear war for quite some time (we expected bombs from Leopoldville, not some newb who god-mods, hell, If you think i was bad, this guy was insane). Our Haz-mat and rescue teams have been removed from the bomb sites, and the responcibility now falls on Isreal Palestine (who dragged the Azaziel into war with Colokits). We are also pulling out of Two Lands completely, and bombing our airfield as we leave. The bomber wings stationed in Two Lands over the past few months are now being re-posted on Crete to protect the Capitol, Knosos. We are also recalling our Red Sea fleet and reposting them in the Mediteranean as a second fleet. The Atlantic Fleet is practicing in the Mid-Atlantic with a series of war games designed to simulate an invasion on Madiera by West African naval and air forces. The High Ruler of the Azaziel will meet with Mr. Nairb Selarom on the Imperial grounds on Crete this weekend. The High Ruler and Mr. Selarom will discuss relations and trade issues, as well as the AU and other areas of interest. IMPORTANT The Azaziel will hand over all of its chemical and biological weapons to the PRBP for safe keeping and inspection. These weapons have no special technology, but they are still Weapons of Mass destruction. We no longer wish to care for these hellish devices and have no nead for them. August 29th will forever be a national holiday for the Azaziel. It is the day when we became a safer nation, away from the turmoil of the middle east. Now we share only one border with a hostile nation; it is our Turkish border with Leopoldville. The New Scriptures of the Azaziel government state the follwing points: 1. The Empire will not go into a war of agression 2. The Imperial military will not be activated for any reason OTHER than defense of the Empire 50 3. The Empire shall make no actions that will denie a human being its god given human rights 4. The Empire will not station military forces on foriegn soil 5. The Imperial military will not occupy any foriegn nation 6. The Emperor has authority over the Court 7. The Court can not declaire a state of war 8. No Imperial citizen will be persicuted for religion or faith 9. These 9 points cannot be revised, changed, or altered in any way. We no longer wish to be the war mongering barbarians from the north. The Government is turning inword and working on sweaping reforms (if the right issues come up of course). ~ Imperial Azaziel 10 hours ago The Free Republic of Green Free State We're looking forward to our match against our neighbors, Wolverton in Space. It looks to be a tough match, as neither of our teams are favoured in the top ten. It's an exciting idea to get to play a good southern neighbor the first game out. Maybe we'll see Luunia in the semi-finals, eh? Let's hope the Free Staters pull an upset over Warlordia-Libya an do a mad dash for the cup. It'll be great to see the greatly different strategies from the Free Staters and Wolverton. Part of our strategy, in short, involves having a good deal of our players borrowed from the Rugby leagues, as well as some good runners given Futball training, and see if we can either: knock the piss out of the other guy, or use overwhelming chaos to our advantage. Let's see how much the brief German colonisation and Luunia/Der Bataven occupation of Wolverton has done to their style. Now, I don't mean to boast, but I feel like taking 5-3 odds in favour of Green Free State. Warlordia-Libya, that's a game I want to watch. To watch Warlordia's Germanic style of play against the desert of Libya and to see the favoured team against the Libyans, who are still formidable (and dirty) players. I'm lookin' real forward to the Cup, guys. First game for us isn't till Tuesday; the drinks are already in the fridge, the satellite TV has been ordered, install guy's supposed to come around sometime between yesterday and next week, I've found a comfy chair right infront of the TV and I'm workin on the ass groove, called in sick from now until October. White, politely elected President of Green Free State 9 hours ago The Democratic Republic of Israel-Palestine Regarding Malawi's latest comment: Personally I do believe Malawi's true inner-self comes through here. Almost crystal clear. PRBP points this out no better than I can. So involving that topic as PBRP says: "These are not the actions of a leader of a proud region such as Africa. President Muluzi is behaving like a petulant imp. Mother Africa certainly deserves better!" I'm surprised PRBP hasn't tried to impeach you for your violation of a security council resolution. Now insulting the founder... United Faiths has done a lot for the Africa region. Do you believe he has only made this "prize" which is btw free to him, well... excluding postage, available to Africa only for himself to take? He could've done that without all the work he has done. If you believe the tournament is corrupted by UF then why do you even join? What you propose is childish and wrong. Instead of insults... why don't you propose a better idea on how to fix what you believe isn't right. Your treating this the same way you treated the election, whine 51 about your problem and then insult. You could only retort to me by constantly saying i'd go out and get my nails done. For your information, I'm the kind of girl that would go out and play Rugby or something. I'm also mad because I am going around trying to make friends and going around in peace, and you say I'm just trying to spend money. I still will visit your nation regardless of seeing you or not. I intend to see it's sights, and talk to the people. After hopefully going to repair all problems between our nations in this trip, you my friend have shot down that idea. Your corrupt government has little interest to me. Israel-Palestine will boycott all products from Malawi, and encourages Africans who share PRBP and/or my own ideas to do the same until he ends his violation of Security Council Resolution 16, and apologizes for his insults to the African people. Best Wishes to Africa, President of Israel-Palestine Tatiana Metanova 4 hours ago The Principality of Akhtendum The Principality of Akhtendum would like to offer full support to our founder United Faiths, following the unjust accusations made by our pseudo-delegate, so aptly pointed out by the esteemed Ms Metanova. Our people and leadership have every confidence in their ability and integrity to provide a tournament free from politics and petty score settling. We challenge Malawi to prove one single word he has said regarding United Faiths' alleged corruption, and insist he retracts his racist sentiments. Regards, the "Desert Hopping Arabs" of Akhtendum day ago The Free Land of Luunia I was very sad and very disappointed to read Malawi's post. This is not the kind of things I like to read. It has really gotten me in a bad mood on the eve of what should be exciting and fun games. I personally invite President Metanova to visit Luunia when she is in the south and I know that she will be well-received by so many other countries in this region. Please do not let this blemish of the south change your views about us southerners. With regard to the soccer match, the country of Luunia is so excited about it. But we have no pretentions. South Nubia is an excellent team and we are hored at our lineup adn the great teams we are competing against. Ma God protect all teams and countries! President Thabo Mbeki 20 hours ago The Holy Empire of Wolverton In Space I would like to start off by saying I am extremely disappointed in Malawi for making such childish and judgemental comments towards Israel-Palestine and the selfless nation of United Faiths. Wolverton extends a warm invitation to President Metanova to attend a state dinner at the President's Mansion in Windhoek. I sincerely hope she wil be able to attend. With regards to soccer, the Nite Ridaz are looking forward to their match with Green Free State. We have managed to convince Bruce Arena to accept the head coaching position for this tournament and I hope he can work his magic with the Nite Ridaz like he did at last year's World Cup with the U.S. national team. UF Africa - it was lost the day Malawi took power. 2.) Nuclear free Africa - it still is, just some noob starting launching an invasion on me to get Azaziel to join the war and then they launched nukes. Due to the fact it was some dumb noob, we decided that we shouldn't really take it into full account. However many major cities are gone. If you visit my website a map is provided where you can see new cities. 3.) Jewish Homeland - No almost longer exists. I'm in it's place, a Democratic Government, based on American Democracy where there is a seperation of church and state. The majority of the population is Jewish, but equal rights are finally given to Palestinians. 4.) Justice - I'm sorry i don't quite understand. 5.) Wage war - I don't know... i guess that is up to the person trying to wage war. 6.) Super Power - Azaziel is still running on fairly well. I'm the one with the problem of nukes, and well i've never been a Super Power. Also, I don't really know what you mean by "War Hungry Imperialists" as nobody is going off taking land and enslaving cultures... as the word imperialist would coin. Regarding poorly educated teenagers... well I guess that is your opinion... I'm sure many people take offense to that statement though. 11 hours ago The Democratic Republic of Israel-Palestine I wasn't too happy to find this from Africa's leader (Malawi) in my Telegram box... =========================================================== I'm removing my endorsement of your country for two reasons: 1. This is for 2 reasons: 1. The more votes are cast, the better the election is - and the less likely it is that an unsuitably candidate wins. 2. It is unfair that in this region, some nations are like 2nd class citizens and excluded from the AU, whilst contributing to the region as a whole. 2 hours ago The Colony of Tutonic Ostland At present, only part of Africa actually has an opinion.
