3rd Grade Spelling Homework Contract
Use your spelling list in the book to complete the activities below. Remember, you
decide your grade for the week by the number of activities you turn in on Friday.
Neatness counts! Each assignment you choose must be complete according to the
directions. I will not count the activity if it is not complete. Please attach this page as the
cover sheet to your assignments. Put your name on all pages and turn in on Friday.
Grading
A = 5 activities
B = 4 activities
C = 3 activities
D = 2 activities
Weekly Spelling Grade: _____________________________
These three activities are REQUIRED in every spelling contract.
o Write a COMPLETE sentence for TEN of your spelling words. Each sentence
must be at least 4 words long and correctly show the meaning of the word.
Underline the spelling word.
o Write each word three times. (2 times printing and 1 time in cursive)
o Have a parent/guardian give you a pre-test of all the spelling words. The pre-test
must be corrected and signed by a parent/guardian.
The rest of your activities may come from the list below. Place a check by the activities
you have chosen to turn in on Friday. The first required must be completed before these.

might be: an item you need to read. On your paper it would look like this:
