Oregon High School Equestrian Teams, Inc. – Central District
Personal/Professional Services Contract
This agreement is entered into this 20th day of July, 2008 by and between Oregon High
School Equestrian Teams, Inc., hereinafter called Central District, and Susan Turner, hereinafter
called the Contractor.
Whereas the Association has need for the personal/professional services of an individual
with particular training, ability, knowledge, and experience possessed by the Contractor, now
therefore, in consideration of the sum $TOTAL, to be paid to the Contractor by the Association,
(this amount includes $103.50 mileage, $45 meals and $330 fees) the Contractor agrees to
perform on Fri, Jul 18 - Sun, Jul 20, 2008; at the DCFE, Event Center, the following personal
and/or professional services (more specific details in attached letter):
District Meet #2 – Cattle Events
In performing the above services, it is understood and agreed that:
1.
The Contractor is engaged as an independent Contractor and will be responsible
for any Federal or State taxes applicable to this payment.
2.
The Contractor will not be eligible for any Federal Social Security, State
Workman's Compensation, unemployment insurance or Public Employee
Retirement System benefits from this contract payment, except as a self-employed
individual.
3.
The Contractor shall hold no member of the Association liable for any debts, fees,
or assessments of the Association.
4.
The Contractor will provide their own liability insurance.
