“The Tell-Tale Heart” Booklet Project
You will be creating a booklet to prove your mastery of Edgar Allen Poe’s short story, “The Tell-Tale Heart.” The
following is a list of what is expected of you.
I. A booklet containing the following pages, in the correct order, and with these exact details: ………..5 points each
a. Front cover:
o Story title (“The Tell-Tale Heart”) AND author’s name (Edgar Allan Poe)
o Appropriate graphic – a SYMBOL from the story
o Name, date, and period.
b. Table of Contents:
o Titled “Table of Contents”
o NEATLY lists the next 6 pages in this order - 1. Setting, 2. Verbal Irony, 3. Situational Irony, 4.
Dramatic Irony, 5. Metaphor/Simile, 6. Resolution
o A short explanation of the symbol on the front page, explaining what it symbolizes.

o Titled “Setting”

o Includes a description of the following - Protagonist, Antagonist, Time, Place, and Duration
