WC-WCAP3-C
The wireless conference access point is the central controller for the wireless conference system. The system shall
use both the 2.4 and 5 GHz frequency range, providing a large number of channels to guarantee a reliable wireless
link at any time. The access point shall be able to be configured to use any combination of available frequencies and
shall be able to automatically or manually switch based on the users preference. The access point shall include a
built-in spectrum scanner that constantly monitors the 4 bands to detect interference sources and identify free
frequencies. The device shall include 128 bit advanced encryption of the wireless data and 3 SMA antenna
connectors.
The wireless conference access point shall include a username and password protected HTTP web server to support
configuration, setup, and control of the wireless system. The built in HTTP web server shall support the most
common used web browsers including: Internet Explorer, Firefox, and Google Chrome. Via the web browser, the
operator shall have the ability to assign names to individual seats and control microphone activity for each
microphone.
The wireless conference access point shall allow for a complete set of network configurations ensuring compatibility
with any IT network.
The wireless conference access point shall offer a secure method of initializing the microphone units of either
automatically or manually assigning each microphone with a seat number.
The wireless conference access point shall include (1) level adjustable ¼” balanced analog input and (1) level
adjustable ¼” balanced output to interface with external audio systems. The device shall incorporate a selectable
distance conferencing (N-1) function to prevent feedback when connected to a video conference system. The access
point shall include a selectable mode to enable an external processor or mixing board to be added to the system. The
device shall include indicators displaying the audio activity and overload.
The wireless conference access point shall be capable of interfacing with wired systems using RJ45 connectors
allowing the wireless and wired system to work seamlessly together.
The system shall support up to 6 open microphones. The system shall support the following Microphone Modes to
fit the users’ specific meeting requirements: Operator, Direct Speak, Request to Speak, VOX, and Group
Discussion.
The system shall support a selectable VOX mode of operation when each microphone will activate when a user
speaks. The device shall include a configurable maximum number of microphones mode to limit the number of
microphones.

The wireless chairman unit shall be equipped with a microphone On/Off or request-to-speak button, two headphone
outputs with a single volume control, and three voting buttons with an OLED voting result information display. The
device shall come with an additional priority, next-in-line, and system volume adjustment buttons to allow control
over participants using the system. The device shall support voting sessions when connected to voting software. The
chairman unit shall include three voting buttons to select yes, no, or abstain. The device shall have a built-in high
quality loudspeaker which is automatically muted when the microphone is active, to prevent acoustic feedback. The
chairman unit shall have the ability to control the overall system volume coming from each of the built-in
loudspeakers within the system.
The unit shall include a red battery status LED to indicate the following:
4h remaining: 1 Hz blinking
2h remaining: 2 Hz blinking
1h remaining: 4 Hz blinking
The unit shall include a blue link status LED to indicate the following:
Off: connection established
Blinking: low link quality
Blue link status LED + Microphone LED blinking at the same time indicates out of range, shutdown after 2 min.
The chairman unit shall use a screw lock socket to connect removable anti-GSM microphone. Both the connected
gooseneck microphone and push-to-talk button shall provide visual feedback (illuminating red LEDs) as to whether
the chairman’s microphone is currently active.
