HEALING & SALVATION
GOD’S WILL
The Bible is God’s word to man. It contains the Old Testament and the New Testament. A
testament is the will of the one who gave it. The scriptures in the Bible reveal God’s willingness
to heal man.
We are told in 2 Peter 3:9 “The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count
slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should
come to repentance.” Amplified Bible “The Lord does not delay and is not tardy or slow about
what He promises, according to some people's conception of slowness, but He is long-suffering
(extraordinarily patient) toward you, not desiring that any should perish, but that all should turn
to repentance.”
Repentance is turning away from our own ways and turning to God and His ways. His ways
are shown in the Bible.
We read in John 3:15-16 “That whosoever believeth in him (God) should not perish, but have
eternal life. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever
believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
It is not God’s will that we perish.
Amplified Bible “In order that everyone who believes in Him [who cleaves to Him, trusts Him, and
relies on Him] may not perish, but have eternal life and [actually] live forever! For God so greatly
loved and dearly prized the world that He [even] gave up His only begotten (unique) Son, so that
whoever believes in (trusts in, clings to, relies on) Him shall not perish (come to destruction,
be lost) but have eternal (everlasting) life.”
When does this life begin? NOW, when we repent and turn to Him!
V:17 “For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world
through him might be saved.”
The Greek word for saved is sozo and means: to deliver, preserve, protect, heal, to be or
make whole. Jesus came to save us spirit, soul and body.
Amplified Bible “For God did not send the Son into the world in order to judge (to reject, to
condemn, to pass sentence on) the world, but that the world might find salvation and be
made safe and sound through Him.”
Jesus said in John 10:10 “The thief (the devil) cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to
destroy: I (Jesus) am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more
abundantly.” Amplified Bible “The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came
that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows).”
Jesus came to give us life, so it is not God’s will that we be destroyed.
If we understand what the words destroy and perish mean, we will know our rights and what is
available to us concerning God’s word for healing.
The words destroy and perish come from the same Greek word, apollumi, which means to
destroy, die, lose, mar and perish.
When we learn what these two words mean in the Oxford Dictionary, we will have more
understanding of God’s will and the devil’s will.

The word destroy means to pull or break down, demolish, make useless, to kill, to nullify, to
neutralize effect, to cause to cease to exist. All these things make us ineffective and this is
not God’s will.
The word perish means to suffer destruction, to lose life or the normal qualities of life, to
come to an untimely end. All these things occur to us when we do not know God’s word and
apply it.
The Apostle John wrote in 1 John 3:8 “He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth
from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God (Jesus) was manifested, that he might
destroy the works of the devil.” Amplified Bible “[But] he who commits sin [who practices
evildoing] is of the devil [takes his character from the evil one], for the devil has sinned (violated
the divine law) from the beginning. The reason the Son of God was made manifest (visible) was
to undo (destroy, loosen, and dissolve) the works the devil [has done].”
Jesus came to destroy the works of the devil. However, we read in Hosea 4:6 “My people
(God’s people) are destroyed for lack of knowledge…” The knowledge we need comes from
God’s word.
God’s word shows us the benefits God has made available to those who believe.
We read Psalm 103 which says:
V:2 “Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits.”
V:3 “Who forgiveth ALL thine iniquities (sins); who healeth ALL thy diseases.”
V:4 “Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and
tender mercies.”
As I have already stated, Jesus came that we should not perish but that we should be saved
(sozo – made whole).
We read in 2 Timothy 3:16 “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for
doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.” Amplified Bible “Every
Scripture is God-breathed (given by His inspiration) and profitable for instruction, for reproof
and conviction of sin, for correction of error and discipline in obedience, [and] for training in
righteousness (in holy living, in conformity to God's will in thought, purpose, and action).”
The word can only profit us if we believe it and apply it continually. BELIEVING IS ACTIVE!
Proverbs 4 says:
V:20 “My son, attend (give attention) to my words; incline thine ear (listen) unto my sayings.”
Amplified Bible “My son, attend to my words; consent and submit to my sayings.”
V:21 “Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart.” Amplified
Bible “Let them not depart from your sight; keep them in the center of your heart.”
V:22 “For they (God’s words) are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh.”
Amplified Bible “For they are life to those who find them, healing and health to all their flesh.”
The word health in the Greek means medicine, a cure, healing, remedy, sound, wholesome,
yielding. God’s word is medicine to us. Amen.
Medicine only benefits a person if they take it!

We are told in Isaiah 55:11 “So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not
return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the
thing whereto I sent it.” Amplified Bible “So shall My word be that goes forth out of My mouth:
it shall not return to Me void [without producing any effect, useless], but it shall accomplish
that which I please and purpose, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.”
God’s word cannot return to him void but it must accomplish what it has been sent to do. Our
part is to believe God’s word.
Psalm 89:34 “My covenant will I not break, nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lips.”
God cannot break his covenant or alter the words that have gone out of His mouth.
We also read in Numbers 23:19 “God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man,
that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he
not make it good? Amplified Bible “God is not a man, that He should tell or act a lie, neither
the son of man, that He should feel repentance or compunction [for what He has promised]. Has
He said and shall He not do it? Or has He spoken and shall He not make it good?”
What God has said, He shall do. What He has spoken, shall come to pass.
We read of a man in the Bible called Abraham. He had received a promise from God. Romans
4:21 “And (Abraham) being fully persuaded that, what he (God) had promised, he was able
also to perform.” Amplified Bible “Fully satisfied and assured that God was able and mighty
to keep His word and to do what He had promised.”
We need to be like Abraham and be totally convinced that what God has said in His word, He
means what He says and He is able to perform it. Amen.
God’s word is full of promises for us to believe.
2 Corinthians 1:20 “For all the promises of God in him are yea (yes), and in him Amen (so be
it), unto the glory of God by us.”
Jeremiah 1:12 “Then said the LORD unto me, Thou hast well seen: for I will hasten my word to
perform it.” Amplified Bible “Then said the Lord to me, You have seen well, for I am alert and
active, watching over My word to perform it.”
God will hasten (that is, watch over, be alert to, look after, stand behind), His word to
perform it. Amen.
Why? Because we read in Romans 1:16 “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is
the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the
Greek.”
The gospel is the power of God unto salvation, (wholeness), to EVERYONE that BELIEVES.
Romans 1:17 “For therein (the gospel) is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith:
as it is written, The just shall live by faith.” Amplified Bible “For in the Gospel a righteousness
which God ascribes is revealed, both springing from faith and leading to faith [disclosed
through the way of faith that arouses to more faith]. As it is written, The man who through faith
is just and upright shall live and shall live by faith.”
This says from faith to faith. Our faith needs to continue to grow and our faith grows by
hearing the word of God.

Romans 10:17 “So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” Amplified
Bible “So faith comes by hearing [what is told], and what is heard comes by the preaching [of
the message that came from the lips] of Christ (the Messiah Himself).”
Romans 10
V:8 “...The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith,
which we preach.” Amplified Bible “…The Word (God's message in Christ) is near you, on your
lips and in your heart; that is, the Word (the message, the basis and object) of faith which we
preach.”
V:9 “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine
heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.” Amplified Bible “Because
if you acknowledge and confess with your lips that Jesus is Lord and in your heart believe
(adhere to, trust in, and rely on the truth) that God raised Him from the dead, you will be
saved.” Saved means made whole.
V:10 “For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is
made unto salvation.” Amplified Bible “For with the heart a person believes (adheres to,
trusts in, and relies on Christ) and so is justified (declared righteous, acceptable to God),
and with the mouth he confesses (declares openly and speaks out freely his faith) and
confirms [his] salvation.” Again salvation means wholeness.
Our challenge is usually our mouths, when our words do not line up with God’s word. This
is because out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. So God’s word remains
ineffective in our lives. Therefore we need to have an abundance of God’s word in our heart
and in our mouth so then we will only speak what God’s word says about us. That way when
we believe God’s word and speak it, He can watch over, stand behind and hasten His word
to perform it. Amen.
Exodus 15:26 “...If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice (His word) of the LORD thy God,
and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear (listen) to his commandments,
and keep all his statutes, I will put (permit) none of these diseases upon thee, which I have
brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the LORD that healeth thee.”
Exodus 23:25 “And ye shall serve the LORD your God, and he shall bless thy bread, and thy
water; and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee.”
The following scripture is prophesying of what Jesus was going to suffer as our substitute; in
our place. Isaiah 53:3-5 “He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted
with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.
Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken,
smitten of God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our
iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.”
Amplified Bible “He was despised and rejected and forsaken by men, a Man of sorrows and
pains, and acquainted with grief and sickness; and like One from Whom men hide their faces
He was despised, and we did not appreciate His worth or have any esteem for Him. Surely He
has borne our griefs (sicknesses, weaknesses, and distresses) and carried our sorrows and
pains [of punishment], yet we [ignorantly] considered Him stricken, smitten, and afflicted by God
[as if with leprosy]. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our guilt and
iniquities; the chastisement [needful to obtain] peace and well-being for us was upon Him, and
with the stripes [that wounded] Him we are healed and made whole.”
By His stripes we are healed. This is present tense – now.
1 Peter 2:24 “Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to
sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.”
By His stripes we were healed.” This is past tense - looking back to the cross! It is a finished
work!

God is looking for believers, because we read in Hebrews 11:6 “But without faith it is
impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he (God) is, and that
he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.” Amplified Bible “But without faith it is
impossible to please and be satisfactory to Him. For whoever would come near to God must
[necessarily] believe that God exists and that He is the rewarder of those who earnestly and
diligently seek Him [out].”
It is faith that is pleasing to God. God promises in this scripture to reward those who
diligently seek Him.
God not only wants us to be well, but he wants us to be whole.
How is this done? By each one of us doing what God says.
Mark 16:17-18 “And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out
devils; they shall speak with new tongues. They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any
deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.”
Signs shall follow them that believe. The believers shall lay their hands on the sick and the
sick shall recover.
Jesus said in John 14:12 “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that
I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.”
Jesus is God. God cannot lie. What Jesus said must come to pass, if we believe and do
what God’s word says. Amen!
It is every Christian’s right to be healed of whatever disease or sickness they may have, if
they believe God’s word and apply it by faith. Amen.

SALVATION
What About You?
Right now, where do you stand with God? Is there sin in your life separating you from God
Who is holy and pure? Right now, if you took your last breath, would you go to heaven or to a
fiery hell? Only by getting your life right with God, and continuing to live right before God,
will you be received by the Lord God Almighty into His heaven.
Or, you might be reading this article and you know you are not serving God as you should. You
are spiritually asleep. You have let other things steal your relationship with God and you want
to come back to God. God is love and therefore He desires a relationship with you, not
religion. We serve God because we love Him and are thankful for the great sacrifice He made
for us.
Remember, Jesus stood openly (unashamedly) on a cross, with His arms outstretched wide, to
prove how much He loves you. If you were the only person in the world, He still would have gone
to the cross, just for you, that is how valuable you are to God. Jesus Christ actually died for
you!
TODAY is the day of salvation – that means now!

DECISION TIME
“I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death,
blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live: That thou
mayest love the LORD thy God, and that thou mayest obey his voice, and that thou mayest
cleave unto him: for He is thy life, and the length of thy days…” Deuteronomy 30:19-20.
If you would like to receive God’s free gift of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sins, and
make a fresh start today by surrendering your life to Him, then say the following prayer aloud.
As you believe, and say this prayer sincerely from your heart, God will hear you, and
forgive you and cleanse away ALL your sins.
PRAYER OF SALVATION
“Heavenly Father, I come to you in the name of Your Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. I confess that I
have sinned against You and others. I am sorry for everything I have done wrong, and I ask You
to forgive me. I believe Jesus Christ took all my sins and sicknesses upon Himself, when He died
on the cross for me, and rose again on the third day. Lord, You said in Your Word that if I
confess with my mouth the Lord Jesus, and I believe in my heart that God raised Him from
the dead, I will be saved. So Father, right now I give you my life, and I confess Jesus Christ is
my Lord, my Saviour and my Healer who died for me, and then rose from the dead. Thank you
Lord, for Your love, forgiveness, mercy and giving me eternal life. Amen.”
WELCOME TO THE FAMILY OF GOD.
God loves you and so do we. If you said this prayer, we would like you to let us know.
TO GROW IN THE WAYS OF GOD, we encourage you to do the following:
1. Every day - Talk to the Lord. You can tell Him everything because He wants to help you. Life
in God is about having a relationship with Him, and not about religious traditions.
2. Every day - Read the Bible so you get to know how much God loves you and what He
desires to do in your life. If you do not have a Bible, get with someone who does, or continue to
meditate on the many scriptures in this Magazine. Just like you feed your natural man, God’s
Word feeds your spiritual man. The Bible consists of both the Old and New Testaments.
(2 Timothy 3:16)
3. Every week - Attend Church so you can learn and grow in the ways of God, receive
Communion and give your Tithes and Offerings to the Lord, so His blessings will flow in your life.
(Hebrews 10:25)
4. Get Water Baptised (full immersion) and filled with the Holy Spirit (with the evidence of
speaking in tongues). The Holy Spirit will help you understand the Bible and to walk with the Lord.
(Acts 2:4 & 38)
5. Be around strong Christians who will encourage you in your walk with the Lord.
So may the Lord God who loves you so very much, bless you, guide you and protect you, as you
walk with Him every day! Amen.
