Some historians say the French and Indian War caused the American Revolution. How do they come to this
conclusion?

Britain spent lots of money fighting against the French in the North American colonies. Britain wanted to get
back that money by having Parliament tax the colonies directly. Since Parliament was the legislature passing
the taxes and no colonists were allowed to attend/argue/vote, the colonists saw this as a violation of their
rights (“taxation without representation”).
