Human Body Systems Book Project
In order to build an understanding of human anatomy and physiology, you will complete a long-term
project that will focus on 6 of the 11 human body systems. This book will be graded based on the
rubric provided and as we go through the unit. This book will act as your review guide for the District
Assessment.
Book Requirements/Information:
1. The book will include a cover page with a relevant unique title along with your name,
period, and illustration.
2. The book will consist of FOUR pages (folded in half).
3. This should be in BULLET POINTS
4. Each system should have the following information:
a. The name of the System
b. 1 Point: What is the overall function/s of this system?
c. 2 Points: What other body systems does this body system work with? (Name 2 and
describe how they work together)
d. 2 Points: What are the major organs/parts that make up the body system?
i. What is the job of each of these major organs/parts?
e. 1 Pont: Labeled diagram of this system
f. 1 Point: 4 listed illnesses or conditions associated with this system (diabetes, heart
disease, stomach ulcers, enlarged thyroid)
g. 3 Points: Other parts of the system… See the back
h. Summary Page: The last page of the book is the summary
i. This page needs to have at least TWO questions from each body system that you
think would be on a test and their answers
5. Each body system will be checked and graded at the end of learning each individual system
6. If handwritten write neatly and legibly. I must be able to read it, and so must you!
7. The Human Body Systems Book will be used as a reference on your Human Body
