Answer: The volume is how much space the matter takes up. Suppose that there
are 2 blocks of equal size. One of the blocks has many molecules smashed together,
making the block very dense. The other block has fewer molecules smashed
together and is less dense. (Remember, it is still the same size as the other block).
The denser block will have more mass because it has more matter; the less dense
block has fewer molecules so it has less mass.
