Gluteus maximus muscle
The gluteus maximus is the greatest gluteal muscle and the
biggest muscle in the human body.
The gluteus maximus forms the back of your butt.
This muscle acts to extend the upper leg, spread it and turn it
outward.
There are two other gluteal muscles called the gluteus medius
and gluteus minimus.
Together the gluteus maximus, they may sound like three
Roman Emperors but are the muscles we sit upon.
The gluteus maximus (or glutaeus maximus) is the largest and
most superficial of three gluteal muscles.
It makes up a large portion of the shape and appearance of the
butt.
