Micro AC Crane Drive
• Crane specific software
allows for start-up in
15 minutes or less
• Pre-configured reference
options result in simple
and uniform setup from
job to job:
– Up to five fixed speeds
– Two-step infinitely variable
– Stepless 0-10 VDC & 4-20mA
• Built-in protective features
increase crane reliability
and up-time:
– High precision current detection
– Full overload protection
– Overvoltage/overcurrent stall
protection
– Short circuit protection
– Reset after fault
– Motor overheat protection
• Units can be mounted
side-by-side, reducing panel
space requirements by 10%
ACCel30™ Micro AC Crane Drive
Avtron’s ACCel30™ AC drive provides
crane travel and open loop hoist
control using FastDrive™ software
technology – commissioning is completed quickly in 15 minutes or less.
Its compact, modular design, and its
high-efficiency cooling system allow
several ACCel30™ drives to be stacked
together to significantly reduce panel
space requirements for multi-motion
applications. Optional DIN rail mounting kits reduce installation times.
The ACCel30™ AC drive’s rugged
design stands up to the demanding
environment of a crane. It meets CMAA
BULLETIN 492 REV. -
class A, B, C, D, and E service requirements for cranes, and it carries a 50°C
ambient rating.
Several standard industrial communication options provide a powerful complement to the standard drive package.
By using protocols such as DeviceNet,
Profibus, or CANopen, the ACCel30™
drive can be integrated into larger
or automated systems with Radio
Controllers, PLC’s, and Sway Controls.
All drive models have a built-in brake
chopper, reducing wiring cost and
panel space. An optional external
resistor is available to provide braking
capabilities. Several ACCel30™ drives
can be tied together through the DC
bus, enabling multiple drives to share
regenerative energy, resulting in overall
energy savings.
The ACCel30™ drive is available in ratings from 0.25 to 20 hp @ 230 VAC, and
0.5 to 30 hp @ 460 VAC.
Each drive is supplied with a keypad for
easy configuration and troubleshooting
by technicians.
Built-in, 120 VAC inputs require no
external adapters.
