Every two (2) years, Prix Galien Greece reward and recognize excellent
medicinal achievements that lead to upgrading the quality of life or even
saving lives through the development of innovative drugs and diagnostic tools.
For this reason, the Prix Galien is rightfully regarded by the global scientific
community as the equivalent of the Nobel Prize in biopharmaceutical
research.
Our awards honor the dedication and hard work of companies such as

a better future for the Greek patient.

Eligibility Requirements
❱ Best Pharmaceutical Agent
Products nominated for the awards must be marketing
authorized (for treatment indication-not necessarily
priced), in Greece (through a central, national process or
by mutual recognition) until December 31st, 2016 and up
to four (4) past calendar years (01/01/2013-31/12/2016).
The above category also includes older medicinal
products approved for a new innovative treatment
indication or a new therapeutic entity (NTE)
incorporated, however, in the past four (4) years.
With regard to the category diagnostic products and
medical devices, in order to be nominated for the
awards, their date of marketing authorization in Greece
must be until December 31st, 2016 and up to two (2)
past calendar years (01/01/2015-31/12/2016).

Participation fee for each nomination is amounted
to 10.000 €.

❱ A narrative history of the innovation’s development
❱ A narrative explanation of the why this drug or device is
innovative, its implications for future research, and/or how
it will improve the human condition
❱ Appropriate Pubmed references and links
With regard to the category diagnostic products and
medical devices, participation fee for each nomination
is amounted to 5.000 €.
