This course is designed to increase the student's appreciation and understanding of theatre as an art form. Highlights include an examination of the various artists of the theatre - playwright, director, actor, designer, technician - as well as the history of theatrical productions. MNTC: 2/6B B. OUTLINE OF MAJOR CONTENT AREAS (Course Specific Outcomes) Students will define theatre terms and be able to apply these terms to various periods of the history of theatrical production Students will understand and explain the artistic responsibilities of the various artists of the theatre (playwright, director, actor, designer, and technical) Students will develop and appreciation of theatre performance and dramatic literature, and artistic responsibilities D.
