Master of Science in Agriculture
Course Highlight
“Hello”
The Master of Science in Agriculture is a program of course work,
research methodology and research designed to provide an introduction
to research. The course work component is designed to provide advanced
knowledge and to develop a range of skills, applicable to the candidate’s
background and area of interest.
Areas of specialisations are: animal science; meat science and
technology; wool science; genetics and animal breeding; agricultural and
resource economics; agronomy and soil science. Further Information
Excellence in Research for Australia (ERA)
ERA is a comprehensive evaluation of all research produced in Australian
universities. It is administered by
the Australian Research Council
(ARC) approximately every three
years. ERA rankings are informed
by a range of quality indicators,
such as citation impact and
expert peer review.
Did you know that UNE is “Well
Above World Standard” in
the following specific fields of
research: Agriculture, Land and
Farm Management, Animal Production, Ecology, Geology, Human Movement
and Sport Sciences, Other Medical and Health Sciences, Soil Sciences, Zoology.
In the broad fields of research UNE is ‘Rated Five Stars’ for Agricultural and
Veterinary Sciences.
We are also “Above World Standard” in: Environmental Science and
Management, Evolutionary Biology, Macromolecular and Materials Chemistry,
Nursing, Psychology, Pure Mathematics. In the broad fields of research UNE
is ‘Rated Four Stars’ in Biological Sciences, Earth Sciences, Environmental
Sciences, Mathematical Sciences and Medical and Health Sciences.
We are “World Standard” in the specific fields of research of Curriculum
and Pedagogy, Human Geography, Policy and Administration, Sociology,
Law, Performing Arts and Creative Writing, Linguistics, Literary Studies,
Archaeology, Historical Studies and Philosophy. UNE has been recognised in
the broad fields of research of Chemical Sciences, Education, Studies in Human
Society, Osychology and Cognitive Sciences, Law and Legal Studies, Studies in
Creative Arts and Writing, Language, Communication and Culture, History and
Archaeology and Philosophy and Religious Studies. Further Information
International Orientation - Trimester 1 2016
On Friday February 12, UNE welcomed our international students
commencing in Trimester 1. Orientation is a great opportunity for new
students to learn about the services and facilities of the University, to
meet with other new students, to learn how to enroll and to be reminded
of important information about their course, their visa obligations and
where to go to get advice.
