VISITORS TO WASHINGTON Daniel Kammen, director of the Renewable and Appropriate Energy Laboratory, UC Berkeley; Stephen Kaffka, director of the California Biomass Collaborative, and Edward Spang, associate director of the Center for Water-Energy Efficiency, UC Davis; Beth Karlin, director of the Transformational Media Lab at the Center for Unconventional Security Affairs, UC Irvine; Joshua Viers, director of the Center for Information Technology Research in the Interest of Society, UC Merced; Mekonnen Gebremichael, associate professor in the civil and environmental engineering department, and Solomon Demissie, research scholar in the civil and environmental engineering department, UCLA; Veerabhadran “Ram” Ramanathan, distinguished professor of atmospheric and climate sciences and the Scripps Institution of Oceanography, UC San Diego; Robert Wilkinson, adjunct professor in the Bren School of Environmental Science and Management, UC Santa Barbara; and Lifang Chiang, project manager in the office of research and graduate studies, UC Office of the President, will be in DC to attend the National Council for Science and the Environment national conference. Anne Casey, director of regional giving, UC Davis, will be in DC to meet with members of the UC Davis alumni network.
