About Me Professionally…
 Originally from Chattanooga, TN (Signal Mountain)
 Moved to Dalton, GA and graduated from high school there at
Northwest Whitfield High
 Inspired by my mother who is also a 7th grade teacher (teaches AC
Science at Vickery Creek Middle in Forsyth)
 Attended the University of Georgia for undergraduate school
(BSEd.1999), completed my gifted certification there, and began
grad. school there
 graduated from Kennesaw State University (MEd. 2006)
 16th year teaching social studies  (13 years at HTMS, 3 years in
Athens)

 Moved to Atlanta in the
summer of 2002 after getting
married to my “college
sweetheart”
 2 children—Preston (5) and
Blakely (2)
 HUGE Georgia Bulldogs fan &
