Who We Are
Mission
The Patient Access Network Foundation (PAN) offers help and
hope to people with chronic or life-threatening illnesses for
whom cost limits access to breakthrough medical treatments
Background
 Established in 2004, PAN is an independent, national
501 (c) 3 organization
 Founded to help reduce the financial burden of underinsured
critically and chronically ill patients and provide hope for
leading productive and healthy lives again
 Governed by an 11-member Board of Directors with
expertise in medicine, healthcare administration, non-profit
management, finance and public policy

What We Do
PAN provides financial assistance to individuals who have
insurance but lack the means to pay for out-of-pocket costs
associated with life-saving specialty medications
Who Qualifies
 Individuals with Medicare, Medicaid or private health
insurance who meet disease-specific eligibility criteria
Amount of Assistance
 Depending on the illness, between $500 - $15,000 in
copayment assistance for a 12-month period
Disease Funds
 Nearly 60 disease-specific programs covering a wide range of
patient needs
