In Review
• Intrapersonal communication is important
because the speaker must communicate
with self honestly and positively in order to
make good decisions about
communicating with others.
• A speaker should take into account the
age, gender, background, education and
socioeconomic standing of the audience
before speaking.
In Review Cont…..
• Ethics are important to good communication
because a good speaker will want to help the
world become a better place and will care about
others.
• Daniel Webster wanted to, at the very least,
retain the ability to speak.
• You must have a strong value structure to
become an effective speaker.
• The communication process does not need
stereotyping.
