The turn of the century decade began one of transition and progress and is considered the first decade of materialism and consumerism. The Industrial age was in full swing, mass production made prices fall to all time lows. Themes Naturalism- to create a perfect illusion of realty Surrealism- visual artworks and writing of the group members Expressionisms- initially in poetry Broadway One of the important movement in 20th century theatre. Language Mostly in English Audience Audience of the 20th century include all classes from the wealthy to the poor. The audience showed there interest through volume.
