Sedimentary Rock




Sedimentary rock is formed by pieces of broken rock as it flows .
Along it builds into layers called sediments . The characteristics ,shale
is a sedimentary rock made up of tiny dust side pieces of sediment.

Igneous Rock


Igneous rocks are formed when magma gets trapped in small
pockets and slowly cools into igneous rock. They can form
under or above ground. When igneous rocks are formed
underground they have BIG crystals. When they are formed
above ground they have small crystals. Igneous rocks contain
different amount of different kinds of rock. Some examples of
igneous rock are basalt, gabbro, pumice, obsidian. The
Characteristics are Silver and brownish gold coloring and bits of
glass that look like topaz.
This PowerPoint page was done by yours the
magnificent Eva Dollarhide.
METAMORPHIC ROCK
Metamorphic rocks are formed by
the change of certain
conditions. When the rock is
changed by heat and pressure
the new rock is called
metamorphic rock. Metamorphic
rock can form from any other
rock.
The different types of rocks are
Schist, Gneiss, Slate,
Quartzite, and Marble.
Our rock is silver and it has bit of
topaz. It comes of gritty it is
flat on one side and bumpy on
the other side. Some examples
are granite and pyrite.

OUR ROCK IS….


We decided that our rock is
METAMORPHIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We thought of that because its texture looked
similar to the ones in the pictures on our rock
website.

their rock to . And a very special thank you to Eva
for her presentation on igneous rocks. And a teensy
weensy bit of help from her friends Shelby and
Raquel. TO A SPECIAL THANKS
