Upcoming International SOS Webinar
May 21st 2014
2pm – 3pm EST
The last few weeks have seen an unprecedented surge in cases of MERS-CoV (Middle
East Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus) - over 200 confirmed cases in the Arabian
Peninsula since the beginning of April 2014. Imported cases have been reported in Egypt,
Greece, Malaysia, the Philippines and most recently the United States, where two cases
were recently seen. What is the risk of the outbreak growing and spreading
internationally? Does your current pandemic plan and infectious disease plan need to be
updated accordingly? How serious is the threat in the US?
Additionally, avian influenza cases continue to be reported, including another new strain
that caused a fatality in China.
International SOS medical experts invite you to learn about:
The status of MERS-CoV in the US and globally;
The status of new and evolving influenza viruses that need attention;
How organizations are preparing for these global health threats;
Tips on how best to update your pandemic plans.
Our experts will discuss the importance of factoring MERS-CoV and the H’s into your
pandemic plans and how incorporating this information into your current infectious
disease plan can be beneficial.
