Four Conditions
of the Heart
Great Crowds Continue
to Follow Jesus
 A very large crowd has gathered to see
and hear from Jesus again.
 The crowd is so large that Jesus has to
teach from a boat out in the sea.
 Jesus is teaching in parables.
 This is not an invitation to listen , they
are commands to both listen and to
hear.

and devour the seed.

The Secret of the Kingdom of God
The mystery of a divine truth
remaining hidden until it is revealed by
God - and without divine revelation it
would not be known.

 The Seed is the Word of God
 The Soil is the Condition of your
Heart.

3. The Divided Heart – the thorny soil.
4. The Yielding - Persevering Heart – the
good, fertile soil.
Defining Marks of the Heart

2) It Bears Abundant Fruit
Hardened, Shallow, Divided Heart
