Love, War, and Lightning Review Game
Game Instructions
Originally created by the English Department at the Universidad de Sierra Sur
Adapted/modified for Powerpoint by Chris Hilgeman
Overview: This is a simple Powerpoint review game template that can be used for a fun
class review in any subject area. The teacher simply needs to fill in each questions slide with
his/her own questions.
Instructions: Students choose a number on the gameboard (1-25.) The teacher clicks the
mouse on the corresponding number which brings up a review question. If the student
answers the question correctly, the teacher clicks on the treasure chest picture at the bottom
to see what the student has won. The treasure box is linked to one of four possible “prizes.”
1. Lightning: The student has the option of switching their points with another
player of their choosing.
2. Sword: Student loses 5 points.
3. Heart: Student gains 10 points
4. Cannon: Student loses 10 points.
If the review question is not answered correctly the treasure box remains unopened. Clicking
on the blue arrow will always take you back to the main game board.
NOTE: The teacher will have to keep track of which questions/numbers have already been
used or have a student do so so that the same questions are not asked twice.
