copyright©amberpasillas2010 For Learning to Happen! •Please pay close attention to this lesson. •This lesson is very short, only 2 slides! •My goal is to call on everyone at least once so that I can check to see that you know how to add & subtract integers for the game. •After this short lesson a FUN GAME!!! copyright©amberpasillas2010 1) -8 - -5 = -3 7) -6 - -14 = 8 2) 14 - -7 = 21 8) -7 - -7 = 0 3) -6 - 5 = -11 9) 9 - 6 - -7 = 10 4) -4 - -11 = 7 10) -4 - -9 - 3 = 2 5) -7 + -2 = -9 11) -13 + -2 - -1 = -14 6) 3 - -7 = 10 12) 6 - -3 - 5 = 4 copyright©amberpasillas2010 1) -6 + 8 = +2 9) -3 - 8 = -11 2) -9 - 7 = -16 10) 12 - 18 = -6 3) +5 + 8 = 13 11) +26 - 4 = 22 4) -16 + 10 = -6 12) -19 + 4 = -15 5) 13 - 5 = 8 13) 6 - 10 = -4 6) -2 - 7 = -9 14) -2 + 16 = 14 7) 6 + -20 = -14 15) +5 + 4 = 9 8) -7 + -12 = -19 16) -19 + 6 = -13 copyright©amberpasillas2010 copyright©amberpasillas2010 SLIDER Integer Game copyright©amberpasillas2010 • You are going to play a two person game called SLIDERS where you add and subtract integers. • You will get a blank white score board. Fill in your score board RANDOMLY using the numbers from 12, -11, -10…10, 11, 12. • Make sure to include zero in the center of your game board this is where you start the game! • The 1st player goes 1st and starts at zero. This player moves horizontally left to right! You pick your number, cross it off, and record you score! copyright©amberpasillas2010 • • • • Player #2 starts at where player #1 left off. The 2nd player moves VERITCALLY up or down. Pick your number, cross it off, record your score. Each time a player ends his/her turn, the player receives the number of points landed on and crossed off on that turn. • Each Player totals his/her points and the player with the highest total points wins. • The game ends when it is impossible for a player to move for his/her turn. copyright©amberpasillas2010 left-right up-down -10 -8 -6 6 8 12 -2 -3 2 9 -11 1 0 -4 -9 11 4 -1 -12 3 5 -7 -5 7 10 copyright©amberpasillas2010 Integer Game #1 #2 Use numbers -12 to +12 0
