ELEC353 Analogue Electronics
Practical 1: LTSpice
ELEC353 will make use of LTSpice for circuit simulation. Check out the preliminary
reading at http://elec.otago.ac.nz/w/index.php/ELEC_353
1 Enter and analyze a RC low-pass filter
In LTSpice, draw the following RC circuit
Perform AC anlysis, transient analysis. Do you get what you expect?
(See beginner's guide for help with LTSpice.)
2 Enter and analyze a diode-C low-pass filter
Repeat 1, but with the resistor replaced by a 1N914 diode.
3 Enter and analyze a transistor amplifier
See exercise in beginners guide. Enter the circuit and perform DC analysis, transient
analysis, AC analysis, as indicated in beginner's guide.

4 Report (should you decide to accept the task)
Your report on this lab should include:
An introduction
A description of the experiments you have performed
Screenshots from LTSpice that show your measurements
An (electrical) analysis of the circuits that explain your measurements
Any other relevant observations
Some conclusions or summary
