Commands Page 259 • You form usted commands with the yo form of verbs. • Drop the –o and add the following endings. • You would use commands to sound assertive or force someone to do something. Irregular Ud./Uds. Commands • For the irregular ud./uds. Commands there really aren’t any cool short cuts or anything to help you out. • The only thing you can do is memorize them. Affirmative and Negative Commands Pg. 264 • In affirmative commands, you attach the object pronouns to the end of the verb. • Give me the ball. • Déme la pelota. • Touch them. • Tócalos. Put “No” down first • 2. Then place the object directly after it • 3. Last you place the verb • 4. The rest of the sentence. Tambíen • You can also attach pronouns to affirmative commands. • When you attach the pronouns to verbs with two or more syllables, add an Accent to show stress.
