Review: GUSTAR
*Remember that the verb GUSTAR is not
used like other verbs.
You don’t conjugate GUSTAR into each
form like you normally do with most
verbs
STEP 1:
First, begin with following:
 A mi me…
 A ti te…
 A nosotros nos…
 A (él, ella, John, Bob) le…
 A (ellos, ellas, Uds.) les…
Step 2:

Then, for all forms, add:
 Gusta = when talking about only ONE
thing
 Gustan = When talking about MORE
THAN ONE THING










A mi me gusta…
A mi me gustan…
A ti te gusta…
A ti te gustan…
A él, ella, Ud. le gusta…
A él ella, Ud. le gustan…
A nosotros nos gusta…
A nosotros nos gustan…
A ellos, ellas, uds. les gusta…
A ellos, ellas, uds. les gusta…
Examples:
I like the cat =
A mi me gusta el gato.
I like cats =
A mi me gustan los gatos.
We like to read =

Verbs Like Gustar:

Encantar=
To love (NOT romantically),
To really like



A mi me encanta esquiar.
A mi me encanta la música de Beyonce.
A mi padre le encantan motocicletas.
Fascinar = to fascinate
A Bill Gates le fascinan las
computadoras.
A los ratones les fascina el queso.
Molestar = To bother, annoy

A mi me molesta mi hermano.

A nosotros nos molestan los
mosquitos.
Importar = To be important to /
To care about

A mi me importan mis clases y notas.

¿A ti te importan tus amigos?
Faltar = To lack, To need
mi me falta un lápiz. ¿Dónde está
