Dimensions Fellow in Research
Organization: The University of Iowa
Location: Iowa City, IA
Timeframe: Summer 2016
Application Deadline: January 15, 2016
Description: Students will be placed in a research laboratory at the Carver College of
Medicine or School of Public Health. The choice of laboratory will depend on the
availability of research positions. Previous students have worked in laboratories in
cell biology, molecular physiology, and environmental chemistry.
Application Materials: Application information can be found on the Cornell Fellows
website. Applications are to be submitted through JIVE no later than 4:30 pm on
January 15, 2016. Application materials include a resume that has been reviewed by
the Career and Civic Engagement Center staff before submission, a personal
statement describing interest and how this experience would fit with future career
goals, and an outlined budget of anticipated expenses. A letter of recommendation
from the PI of your previous research project and a faculty member must be sent
directly to Rebecca Sullens (RSullens). Qualified applicants will interview with
Cornell Fellows faculty and staff as well as with the Dimensions Operations
Committee.
Prerequisites: Cell and Molecular Biology (BIO 205) and 1 research experience
Note: You are ineligible for this opportunity if you have made a previous obligation to
complete summer 2016 research at Cornell.
