IET Engineering Prize Award Evening (in association with industry) 6:00-9:00pm, 9th March 2016 Room F105, F106, F107, School of Engineering, University of Warwick Student Invitation to Apply to Represent the University with poster attendance or to attend Background: The Midlands Power Group, a specialist IET section is hosting the IET Prize Award Evening. This year the event is being held at the School of Engineering, University of Warwick. This futuristic setting provides just the right ambience in which to experience the rich diversity of engineering activities that are being undertaken at universities across the region. Networking: Come along and meet future engineers, find out about their specialisms and research. Meet the Midlands Power Group, and representative s of power industries such as ABB, GE Energy, ARUP, National Grid, TRW. Prizes IET Prizes will be awarded based on the achievements in the areas of electrical and electronic engineering that link to Technology, Innovation and Environmental Impact. Project work will be evaluated on; defining the need and setting project objectives, approach to the project, technical and commercial aspects, outcomes and how project is presented to the judging panel. Industrial Prizes Industry Sponsored Prizes from event supporters will be awarded in areas such as: Control, Environment, Technology, Transport, Electrical & Electronics Communications, Power Engineering. Certification All poster attendees will receive an event certificate * issued by the Midlands Power Group, which is an award for representing your university. Additionally prize awardees will have a citation on their event certificate relating to the prize award given.
