Line and Angle Relationships By: Lexie Helsell and Molly Michels Vertical angles • Opposite angles form intersecting lines. • Vertical angles are congruent. • Each angle equals 40 degrees. Adjacent Angles • Same vertex • Share a common side • Don’t overlap! Complementary Angles • Two acute angles that add up to 90 degrees. • One angle is 40 degrees. • The second angle is 50 degrees. Supplementary Angles • The two obtuse angles line up to 180 degrees. • The angles don’t have to be together.
