THE CONDITION IN MAGADHA BEFORE THE RISE OF NEW RELIGION. KSHATRIYAS VARDHAMANA MAHAVEERA GAUTAMA BUDDHA TEACHINGS OF BUDDHA TEACHINGS OF MAHAVEERA ASHOKA The HARAPPAN and VEDIC cultures spread eastwards to the GANGA valley . The BRAHMINS considered themselves as superior in society. Among the other VARNAS, the KSHATRIYAS were unhappy with such an altitude. But, the common people were unhappy. 1.BRAHMINS and KSHATRIYAS occupied an Important position in the society. 2.Untouchables were neglected in society. 3.Social equality caused lost of unhappiness. 4.Their was increases in rituals and animal sacrifcies. 5.Common people did not know SANSKRIT. 6.People did not understand the rituals and prayers. 1.The system of VARNAS had been accepted by the VEDIC RELIGION. 2.Among the others VARNAS, KSHATRIYAS were unhappy with such as attitude. 3. But, the KSHATRIYAS considered themselves as superior to the VAISHYAS and SHUDRAS. 4.This social inequality caused lot of unhappiness and uneasiness among various sections of people. 5. THE EIGHT .FOLD PATH. 1.Right conversation. 2.Right deeds. 3.Right calling. 4.Right exertion. 5.Pure mental outlook. 6.Right contemplation [DHYANA]. 7.Appropriate decisions. 8.Right outlook. .One has to give up worldly pleasures to attain solution. .Our suffering and sorrow are because of deeps of previous birth. .To give up taking of liquor and meat. .Not to steal[ASTHYA]. .To be truthful. .To practice non-violence. .Man should earn only as much as needs.
