Plantlike Protozoa (Autotrophic). T hey can
produce their own food like a land plant
because they have the chemical, chlorophyll
that can convert sunlight, water, and carbon
dioxide into glucose sugar.

 Algae bloom = rapid growth of algae
in a surface water body like an ocean,
lake, or pond due to overabundance
of food (nutrients).

 A thick layer of algae form near the surface
blocking sunlight from reaching plants below.
This will cause these plants to die and sink to
the bottom of the water source.
 Decomposers (aerobatic bacteria) breakdown
the dead organism and begin to overpopulate
using up the dissolved oxygen (DO).
