Other typical long-term consequences include: fatigue & pain. Social and financial difficulties are also common. © Macmillan Cancer Support 2014 © Macmillan Cancer Support 2014 Cancer is classed as a disability under the Equality Act and Disability Discrimination Act in Northern Ireland from the moment of diagnosis. It also applies even when there is no longer any evidence of the cancer.
