What is it??
Cumulus is a centrally based digital asset management
system. It enables a large number of people to access,
modify, and manage a group of digital assets (computer
files) from a central location.
• Or, simply stated…
Cumulus stores digital photos in a central location,
allowing users to access and modify them while
maintaining a single central library.
Why do we use it??
1). Organization
• One stop shop for all Collaboratory images. In
short…helps to keep things neat.
2). Redundancy
• With only one local database, it decreases likelihood
of having multiple copies.
3). Accessibility
• The web client is available anywhere and the software
is installed in computer labs.
3). Marketing
• Messiah Publications has access to our photos to use
in Messiah College editorials, web site, etc.
