accessibility support
• Few options as to what accessibility information
you can add to the PowerPoint content when
exporting to the Web
• Additional usability issues as well for those on
non-IE browsers or those lacking the PowerPoint
application/viewer

• Add the appropriate accessibility information
when authoring your PowerPoint
presentations
– Image descriptions
– Captions for embedded videos
– Watch for the preset hyperlink colors!
• Use the PowerPoint slide layouts when adding
content and move those around as opposed to
creating text boxes

PowerPoint presentation to an accessible
format (HTML or PDF)
