By JT Marshall and Amy The forests are large areas filled with trees and animals. Most of the trees in the forest during the winter are of the pine type. The rest alive in the winter don’t have leaves. During the summer there can be any kind of trees grown in the area. When there is a fire it helps to bring more trees if in the warm seasons. Some of the forest trees are in danger of being chopped down for supplies or space. There can be almost any type of plant or shrub in the forest. This is however if it has good soil and dirt. The plants aren’t in any danger. The animals eat the plants and if a house is made humans will probably eat them too. But if the humans are making a street or a city neither the plants or the trees will be safe and do to pollution the soil is getting worse for plants to grow. The forest is home to many animals. One of the animals is the grizzly bear, the reason grizzly bears live in the forest is the temperature is just right, and the food the like is there. Another animal is the wolf, wolf's like living in the forest because it is hard for their prey to get away or a bear to catch them because they are so nimble, and wolfs love the climate in the forests. one danger for these animals are hunters. Hunters will kill a bear for their head as a trophy and wolf's for their fur. those are just two of many animals that live in the forest Forest biomes have different kinds of weather. They can be found in cold tropical or temperate areas. Boreal forests have long and cold winters. It also has short warm summers. In winter, thick snow covers the ground. It prevents the ground from freezing. Temperate areas have warm and wet summers and it has cool winters. Some forest biomes have more rain than others. Also 300 feet of sunlight and rain reach the forest floor.
