The Camera Lens
The Camera Lens
(a) Lens come in different sizes…
(b) Most have automatic focus …
Iris (Aperture) Shutter
controls the opening and closing of the camera lens.
Low light =
Large aperture
Bright light =
Medium aperture
VERY Bright light =
Small aperture
Aperture –
F-Stops
• Controls the opening (aperture) of the lens.
Purple part in the center is the shutter of the lens
F-Stops
The circle in the middle of the lens is the IRIS
Iris (Aperture)
Iris - is the opening of the Lens.
APERTURE - is the measurement of the opening of the lens
Shutter – is the door or black part that close and opens to
let light in
The Higher the Aperture
Less light small Iris.
Smaller the number the
more light big Iris.
Shutter – Shutter Speed
The light measurement (shutter speed) that control
how much light comes into the lens just like
the aperture.
Exposure
Iris + Aperture + Shutter + Shutter Speed = (Photo Exposure)
Exposure determines how light or dark an image is.
